So I've been taking champix for a bit, and I've got the odd headache. And if its a small side effect of the pill, or my body reacting to the withdrawal - then that'd fine. But I saw in the news that there's a 30 per cent more chance of getting a brain tumour if youve been using a mobile phone for longer than 10 YEARS. So now Im getting a bit PARANOID. I dont know about you guys - but I dont even have a landline because with line rental and everything, it gets so pricey. I'm on the blower for a FEW HOURS a day. Its not good - but whats the alternative? Are 30 per cent more of us going to have brain tumours in 10 years - thats almost one in every three. Surely they've got to come up with healthier phones?

Well, it is hard to say whether it will cause brain tumors, I know a lot of people started using wireless/handsfree kits to stop putting the phone to their ears. If it wireless were a problem, then surely all electricity/radio waves would also contribute to tumors and they have been around for a lot longer than mobiles, and there isn't really evidence stating an increase in tumors because of radio waves. We cannot completely stop ourselves coming into contact with all this can we?? Disco

If I'm at home and my mobile rings I put it on loud speaker so I don't have it pressed to my ear. I wouldn't be surprised if two hours of phone usage a day, with it pressed to your ear, was giving you a headache. As disco says, try hands free or loud speaker.

im paranoid about this too - if someone calls me at home on my mobile, i tell them to call me back on the landline. its a bit of a hassle - but then i can totally relax when im taking on the phone. i only use my mobile when im out and about.

I never sleep with my mobile on, beside my bed. I always turn if off. Quite apart from annoying midnight calls from drunk mates, I don't like the idea of it buzzing it's energy near my brain all night!

So i don't keep my mobile by my bed at night. I like to keep everything electrical out of the bedroom. No tv, no plug in alarm clock (i use a battery operated one) I just find it more relaxing with no electric waves dancing round the room when I sleep.
