Have we talked about this yet?? I read about it again. I love the taste of it
and its so good for you because its filled with nutrients like potassium,
which help to reduce water retention. I love salt in food, which is SO bad,
so I often get water retention if I stop moving around. And potassium
really helps. It also helps with metabolism, is anti bacterial and has anti
viral properties to boost the immune system  - so stars like Madonna and
Demi Moore are ploughing money into the company Vita Coco.
Yum!!

ok,  i lived on coconut water when i lived in brasil for 7 years.

It is very rehydrating.  I have to say sometimes it went straight through me... (sorry have to be honest)

I always have it after my bikram yoga classes to rehydrate.  It's awesome stuff and would def recommend it!

It seems to be a little miracle drink. Can you buy it anywhere? These
drinks are quite faddish though - I remember only a few years ago
everyone going on about Promegranate juice. I'm sure they all have good
properties, but I don't think I could stomach drinking one thing all the
time. Its hard enough to keep constantly reminding myself to drink water.
And often these faddish drinks are very expensive too!

It's £1.69 from Holland and Barrett so I guess it's a bit more than buying
water or a coke or something. But if it keeps you healthy then I guess it's
an investment. And if the weather is going to get as hot as it did last
week again then the electrolytes in the drink will be useful. Especially if
we're all getting out there and exercising too this summer!

I also keep some dyoralyte in the house in case i am unable to replenish all the electrolytes i have lost.

You can buy coconut water from wholefoods and also from planet organic.  Sometimes i see it in newsagents, and i have seen it in a can in the ethnic food aisle in sainsbury's but it is in a can and i haven't checked if there are additives.

I can also buy it from my gym and bikram studio...

it's a wonderful secret!

it's nothing like coconut milk Disco.  It's quite a distinctive taste, i think a bit like marmite, you love it or you hate it....
