Hi there! I have a little question… what should I do if I get cactus milk in my eyes? I know it supposed to be poisonous and very dangerous for the cornea but how do you clean it?

Hi Lauren, well you shouldn’t be here writhing this post, YOU SHOULD BE GOING TO THE ER IF THAT IS THE CASE! Cactus milk can be very dangerous for the cornea as it is poisonous and it can even leave a person blind for couple of days… it is very important to wash the affected area right away and the rush to the hospital. Good luck!

Hey Lauren, not long ago my little sister was playing at a friend’s house where they had a bunch of cactuses. Some of the milky substance from a cactus went inside her eye and mouth. She had to be rush to the hospital. Unfortunately, her cornea was a little damage and she had to go for surgery. Apparently not a lot of people know how dangerous cactus milk can actually be.
