Is anyone using this supplement on it's own, or even with Propecia?

i bought some procerin tablets months ago and used for about 3, didnt see any change really and got on propecia, im now taking the ones i have left over (at half the dose, 1 tab a day) at the same time just since iv got them, cant say if there helping but i do think the propecia is working. the tablets also have other ingredients in them for hair so probably helping a little bit, but im not sure about saw palmetto and its affects on DHT, hopefully there will be some hard scientific proof 1 day tho if it does work

I know people say that 'natural' doesnt actually mean 'safe' but if i heard it worked then id be interested in supplementing the propecia with it. Im taking propecia, but just want to do whatever else i can on top of that, so that I've thrown everything I can at it! But if it doesnt work, then obviously Im not going to bother. If it doesnt inhibit DHT in the bloodstream effectively like Propecia does, then I'll just stick with the propecia. so toby you find that propecia's working for you? Ive recommended it to a few buddies already. It was a guy at work that first put me on to it. I can tell his hair looks more...abundant, and he seems really happy with it, but Im not exactly running my fingers through it!

ye i do think its working, tho its only beenaround 7 months since i started and they say ul have best results around the 1 or 2 year marks i think. I think im shedding less terminal hairs, only 3-4 during washes and combing through it looking for hair compared to about 12-15 last year and maybe some of my hair looks a bit healthier and stronger I just have had some unrelated scalp problems, slight dermatitis apparently, so its a bit annoying at the moment. I lose a about 10 of these smaller and finer hairs each shower, there about half the length of my hair length, the same lenght i had it about 7 weeks ago and i cant get an answer why, if it wasnt for these id only be losing 3-4 hairs all everyday. confusing

I've wondered about using minoxidil too - is the rogaine foam a similar alternative? Im happy to do anything to boost the propecia and speed up the process. 3-4 hairs lost in the shower sounds ok, I'm also losing less now than ever. I shampoo my hair very gently though, so some days I don't see any lost in the shower. Not sure about your finer hairs either? Sounds very strange. It may just be a passing phase?

from what iv heard yes, rogaine foam is just the same apart from its got less chemicals in it and is actually supposed to not cause any irritation because of this compared to the regular. I cant comment on the regular because iv never used it, but before i started taking propecia i bought a can of the foam and was about to start using that until i changed my mind and bought some propecia instead, but since i had the can i decided just to use a bit on my temples 2 times each day, the can lasted around 3 months because i only used a slight amount. I noticed small, like white hairs growing in the exact same pattern i was rubbing the foam, these started to grow longer but remained the same colour, after the can ran out i just stopped and put hope in propecia, these hairs then disappeared over time. The rogaine was obviously doing something and i hadnt had any hairs in those parts of my temples for years, it was easy use, i had no irritation or anything, was easy, tho i dont know how easy it would be to use if you had long hair as it needs to reach the scalp and i think most of it would get stuck in your hair first. Iv also heard on websites that it has a better success rate than the liquid and some people say it works using it just once per day. If you decide to use rogaine you will have to use it everyday for the rest of the time you want hair or you will lose the benefits it created, and people say it creates shedding periods before you see regrowth. The trichologist i went to see recommended minoxidil (rogaine) for me to keep my hair and said theres a good chance il have about a 25% regrowth because my hairs not to bad and im young. But if your thinking about it do a lot of research first and then make your mind up because its something you will have to stick to for a long time. Anyway, yes i hope it is just a passing phase, il stick it out. How long have you been on propecia for and how long has your hair been thinning? here are a couple of links i found that may help NO LONKS PLEASE TOBY! thanks from Admin
