Hi, i am currently between norwood 3 and 4 in hairloss as you can see in the pic, i know Minoxidil is a must use. Would Propecia benefit me or do i need Dutasteride? Wot is ur opinion? Also, how long will it take before i see results or signs thats its working? Thx for ur comments.

I am pretty sure that they are both exactly the same. The only major difference is that propecia has been manufactured specifically to be taken as a daily oral medication. Propecia is the brand name for Finestride. Finestride and Dutasteride are essentially exactly the same. They were both designed to fight prostate cancer. Finestride was also issued a license to be used as a hair loss medication - via brand name Propecia. Some people use Dut off-label but i have heard that the strength of dut is smore powerful than the equivalnet to Finesteride....(to confuse you more Proscar is also a similar medicaiton....) Hope that a help

Your hairloss is pretty advanced - conventional wisdom would tell you to forget it - buzz your head and move on. However if you do want to give it a go you will have to hit the problem hard. Firstly get on finasteride whether it be propecia , proscar, finast etc. You will need to use a regrowth agent - minoxidil (rogaine) Also nizoral shampoo has anti androgenic properties. Retin A twice a week will help improve absorbtion of the minox. Dont expect miracles.

Ey dude...your hairloss seems pretty advanced over there....Don't get me wrong with what I m going to tell you but if I was you I would consider a hair transplant. I have undergone a hair transplant almost 6 months ago and the results are excellent and I am veryhappy with my results.

I chose the FUE method, hairs are taken one by one from the back of your head and are transplanted on the top of my head. The method I chose was Direct hair transplantation. Believe me I am not telling you for any personal gain but I can assure you that it really works. Beside the procedure has no pain at all.

Baldy888 give us some feedback. I want to know about the minox effectiveness...you say that it is effective id just be keen to see a visual update here. Also i am no expert but i think that dit and prop are the same thing. Dont quote me though i am learning too.
