I have been on propecia for 2 years now and have had no side effects at all. I was browsing on the net and saw articles against propecia which really scared me.  Has anyone had any side effects because I am confused whether I should keep on taking it or stop it?? Is it true that some people might face difficulties such as maintaining an erection or something else??  Pls answer me someone. 10x

Two things to say really:

1) Side effects using prop are basically very minor and only affect the unlucky few.

2) Any experienced side effects can be reversed. The half life for propecia is not that long at all.

Remember as well that propecia is finasteride, a very useful medication used to lower the prostate in men. Very useful indeed. If you have no side effects after two years - then r-e-l-a-x

ive been on fin for close to three years and nothing noticeable. I have read a few horror stories but everyone repsonds differently to medicaitons. You might be like me in that the sides are limited?

One of my friends had phenomenal growth from propecia that meants he was probably one of the more hardcore shinning exmaples of propeica but i never heard of any ill side effects from him.

Might you be drinking too much or smoking more? Maybe things like that can trigger the sides...im no expert.

hello, i have had side effects from propecia.  basically i was taking it for about 2 and a half years, during the later stages of this i started to notice that my erections were becoming weaker until basically they became non exsitent, at first this didnt bother me too much as i did not have a girlfriend and they would return when i ceased use.  i decided at the very start of this year that i would stop for a while so i could get back my normal sexual function.  unfortunately i am still waiting.  i have noticed a slight improvement in the last few days however, and hopefully i can continue this recovery.  there are people far worse of than myself, but i am by no means normal i really dont mean to freak you out but i wish i had this information before i started.  the strange thing is my hair has not really started shedding to any great extent since i stopped. i had great results with the drug as well.  my advice to you is if you have absolutely no side effects, eg weak erections, watery semen, or decrease in libido then you will probably be ok but take care with this as i know some people have been off for years and they still have not returned to normal.  tell your doctor about your concerns and maybe get a testosterone check.
