Hi guys. Im 35 and I have been receding gradually for years. i went to my doc here in hk and he suggested I tried Propecia.
Ive been on 1mg a day for 3 months and have noticed a slight difference. But I would also suggest-
getting a good haircut does help. That can make a lot of difference and its worth spending a bit on.
use a good volumising product. Again a good hairdresser can help you with finding something light that wont weigh hair down. Blow drying hair before styling also increases volume.
Im on the pills and was wondering if i can now just have 1/2 a mg a day. any ideas?
Im not that worried about it, i suppose if it gets to a certain point I will get it cut short.
theres lots of hair clinics here in hk, asians have a real things about their hair and there are a lot of very dodgy wigs here!
I Have seen a few weaves and transplants and they always look fake to me.
I find that girls dont worry that much about it, less than we do anyway.But that's my opinion. My docs opinion is that Propecia is the only thing that has proof of working. I havent tried the minoxil type things, im a bit cynical about all that.
Does this help? maybe not. Any advice on going to 1/2 a mg a day would be helpful.

HK is Hong Kong right? Seems like a very cool place, is it?

You sound very positive and so you should be about hair loss.

About splitting the propecia....i have definitely heard of people taking half the dosage. I took propecia and have had very good results but stopped when i was trying and subsequently had a child with my wife. Im thinking of going back on propecia and might do as you suggest. The only thing i worru about is that splitting the pills might make it meaningless to actually taking the medication at all.
