To get hold of a private prescription for Proscar...and he refused! Claiming he was not licensed to provide such prescriptions. I have been referred to a dermatologist in the local hospital which will probably take flipping ages.

But is the doc right? It's certainly contradictory to the advice provided on these forums...

proscar isnt propecia....proscar is 5x the doseage of propecia and is designed for reducing the size of the prostate (for people with prostate cancer).

you need to ask about propecia, since it is designed to reduce/reverse hairloss. I got my prescription through my doctor with little to no problem, he just had to explain to me the side effects and etc.
