Hey, I just want some insight. I noticed that my hair line has receded a big and the top of my scalp has started to thin (This was back in May that I really started to notice it). I went to the doctor and had blood work done and all came back negative and I went to my dermatologist and he told me that I was in stage 2 or 3 of male pattern baldness.
The thing that raised a red flag with both of my doctors is that my dad started to lose his hair at 19 so they just basically told me "sorry" lol. So I started taking propecia at the end of May and I'm on my 4th month supply now. I also started to wash my hair using nizoral 1% shampoo since everywhere I read they say that it's suppose to help. I also recently started to use revivogen shampoo and conditioner to try and compliment the propecia as well.
So now at the 4 month mark...I don't know, I feel like the top of my head has thinned more a bit, but my hairline has remained the same. I don't know what to expect really and I really noticed my hair being thinner after I started using the shampoo and conditioner (I stopped using conditioner when I started to flip about losing my hair).
I assume I just have to stick with it? Should I start to see more results soon? I'm a bit worried, especially since no girl my age I'm sure would want to date a bald 19 year old .
EDIT: I did stop losing the large amounts of hair i was losing on my scalp after the first 3 months though...i notice int eh shower that most of the hair coming off my head are from the sides and back..
