Hello all,

I mentioned in another posting that I have just today received my Viagra to enable a change in the bedroom since I am now 50 and I feel things slowing down and attractions deteriorating a little.

Does anyone have any advice on taking it?  I read somewhere to take it a couple of hours before intended intercourse so was going to take it before dinner in the hope of "getting to it" soon after; the only thing is, if my partner doesn't want sex after dinner (which can happen) am I left to sort it out myself? I am reluctant to tell my partner about it as I feel it is an issue I have with myself.

Any advice appreciated and anticipated.  Regards to all.

Talking about it is good Nico; as you can see you are not the only one out there with this problem.  Spicing things up is important but Viagra may not quite do this for you, it will however make you go longer which may help.  Try taking it an hour before your meal and don't eat alot of fatty foods as this lessens the effects.  Dont worry about ending up with an erection that you have to sort out as it only works if you are stimulated. Good luck and let us know how you get on with it.

Hello JRL,

Thank you for your advice.  I did indeed take the pill befor dinner (simple bangers and mash, with a glass of wine.)  I don't want to bore you with the details but all went well, she was willing and we went for a long long time. All is good therefore and I will definitely be sticking with Viagra.  Now, you may think that I am being greedy here but I still do not think that is enough.  I think I need more spice in my bedroom with my partner.  I hope its not a breakdown of what we have, but it is just not what it used to be and I am not sure what to do.  Please give me some suggestions.

Thank you again.

If you are worried about how long it will take to 'kick in'  you can always have a practice run.  Then you will know exactly how it will work when you get down to it and you will have no qualms.

All the best i am sure you will not have any problems/

take it hour before you intend sex and preferably on empty stomach, simply taking it wont give you an erection so if the wifes not up to it when you go to bed you wont "have to sort yourself out"as youll need sexual stimulation from your partner for it to work properly.are they proper branded viagra?the generic stuff all over the web is useless.good luck

I have been using viagra for 5 years now. I find 50mg lasts me nearly 12 hours - after about 45 minutes to activate, though soft tabs take only 15 mins to start. I tried Cialis but all I got was a big headach and since Viagra seems to last me so much more than normal thats probably no problem. Good luck with it, I love it.
