I've been reading these forums on ED for about 2 months and finally made a purchase. Just thought I would share my findings. First I should say, I am 43, 165 lbs. The reason for trying a ED med is junior would not always want to rise to the occasion. My first choice was to try cialis, it worked well but I experienced side effects even at very low doses. I experienced a heady cloudy funny feel, not a good feeling btw. Also facial flushing for more then 24 hrs. Note that cialis is a long term ED med, and that might explain why I had side effects for an extended length of time. Unlike viagra that has a life span of around 4 hrs, and levitra estimated at 4-6 hrs. I read that levitra is a more refined medication for ED then viagra, and because of that it has fewer side effects. So I tried levitra next, 10mg and split it 4 ways (start with a low dose I feel). It worked great for me with no side effects. I have never tried viagra as a result of levitra working for me so far. I hope my story helps some in deciding what there options are. Note that we are all different and your results maybe different from mine. Also check with your doctor before taking any ED medication.

I am surprised that Cialis did not help you; but i agree with you that it appears to be a slightly stronger med for the condition. Just one question though - how did you decide on Levitra - was it just a case of trying something different at the time? and did you ever think of Uprima as an option?

Jimmycar, as I mentioned cialis did work well, in fact I felt like I was 18 again; new I was on the right track. But the side effects were a bit of a turn off, again for my system, others may not notice any side effects at all. My two choices left were viagra or levitra. I picked levitra based on what I had read. As for uprima being a option, I believe that is for mental stimulation. I would have to look into uprima extensively before altering or playing with my brains wiring system.

Thats interesting - I prefer Viagra but as i always say - once you find a good one you should stick to it. I do see the thought in eliminating all possibilities first though..

out of interest how long did the levitra take to kick in? also - you mention that you split the tablet into four - is that because you can do that - i.e. the tablet has perforated quarters or did you do it with your teeth or a knife or something? thanks - im thinking of trying an ED medication, (Im late 30's) and not sure wqhich one. i tried to open the article you mentioned but my PC wont allow that to happen. Id ask my son who is more computer profficient but then he'd ask what the article was about!!

Brett, I would say it taken 20 minutes for the levitra to have some effect for myself. I split the 10mg tablet 4 ways with an x-acto blade. The pills are not perforated, but it can be done. I may buy the 5mg tablet next time, and split that once. Simply because the pills are so small to be splitting. Keep in mind it’s cheaper to buy and split a 10mg tablet, or even a 20mg. As far as the site links that are posted. You may try and hand type (or copy and paste) the link onto a google search engine. It should allow you to click onto a site after that. The top link is a wealth of info. Good luck
