Hello there! I've been on Reds before, but couldn't afford the prescription, but now I'm back on them. I've been on them for a week now and have lost nothing, so feel a bit despondent, but will try really hard as I don't want to the doc to take me off them. For a few days I had nausea and dizziness, which didn't help as it was very hot too! That's mostly passed now, and I feel okay. I'm not sleeping very well, but I've always been like that anyway. Any tips off anyone? I'm finding my interest in food has almost disappeared, I don't crave stuff when I'm bored, say in the evenings. Will keep you posted on my first weigh-in, probably next week. (By the way, I'm currently 12stone 4pounds) Love to you all. Helen x

Hi Helen, I've been on the Reds for 3 weeks now and I have lost 4kgs but I was interested to read that you too are suffering from sleep problems. I am not a great sleeper sometimes anyway but since I started on these things I keep waking up and tossing and turning so I would be interested to hear if there is anyway to minimise this problem??? I also had a few other side effects in the first few days but these seem to have gone it's just the sleepin really, any one any tips on a good nights sleep. My other half snores too so that doesn't help but he says it's me keeping him awake now!!!!!! Tina

Lack of sleep is not uncommon, it's as though your body just doesn't need as much time in bed?! Some take herbal remedies - but I can't suggest anything - perhaps a chat with the pharmacist is on the cards if the sleep becomes a problem?

Well what I think is the "Reds" are programmed to wake us up in the night so we get up and get some exercise!!!! It's such a shame cos I love sleeping, it's my favourite hobby and when I'm sleeping I'm not eating!!! Tina

The sleep think is not good is it! I took a Nitol last week and it knocked me out but i tried one last night and it had no effect whatsoever. Has anyone improved with the sleep or if you get the insomnia from the off are you generally stuck with it? Shell xxx

My sleep isn't as disturbed as last time, but I do find that I'm like a kid... run, run, run then eventually drop and sleep for 12 hours. Not exactly the best way to be, but the sleep I need does seem to catch up on me eventually and I sleep. I do like Tina's suggestion that they are programmed to wake us up to exercise though... hmmmm could be something in that (spooky! lol)
