Hi all, This is to all the people that are thinking about taking the diet pill and are worried or doubtful, Day Started Reductil 04/08/05 .....Weight 16st 5lb One Week Later.......11/08/05 .....Weight 15st 11lb Two weeks later......18/08/05 .....Weight 15st 6lb I had only heard of Reductil on the day that my Dr prescribed it to me, and when he said "diet pill", i thought he was having a laugh, so anyway, i duly got myself the pills the next morning, sat in the pub and at 11.30am took my first 10mg Reductil with my morning coffee. How and behold, less than an hour later, i got this poxy headache, dry mouth and felt a little dizzy, and generally felt a little strange. Over the next few nights i had trouble sleeping, but, things were happening, i felt really bloated after my food, especially my evening meal, the only side effect of the pill is the dry mouth. But, today, when i weighed in, i had lost over 8lb, i couldn't believe it, so i weighed myself again, and yes, i had actually lost that amount of weight in 7 days, i was so happy i almost bought myself a cream bun and steak bake from the bakers next door. The scales i use, are the ones in Boots, they are 30p a go and give you a print out, which in turn i show to my Doctor. This weight loss has given me such a boost, especially in my confidence levels, its also given me the will to carry on dieting and actually stick to a diet. I know i am one of the "lucky" ones, that is able to get Reductil free from my Doctor, but, however you get your tablets, stick with it, its working for me, and i hope its working for you. Dieting, is hard and an up hill struggle, i never ever thought i would see the day where i would actually lose some of this weight. My total goal is to lose about 3 stone, and i will do it................ Take Care and Happy Slimming Biscuit Surrey UK Live Life Love London

fabulous losses all of you! it's great isnt it. carol in regards to you feeling that you don't have enough energy to exercise, why dont you try to gently increase your exercise. by exercising you will find that you actually have more energy. a lot of trainers will suggest that you try strength training first then when you start aerobic exercising you'll be stronger. (especially if you're quite overweight) even walking will help and if you make it interesting it doesnt have to feel like "dreaded" exercise. good luck with it all. (personally i run intervals and also walk, do weights, yoga, cycle etc I love exercising, using my body and i love feeling my muscles getting firmer.)

Just noticed the date on the first post was back in 2005 I wonder how the lady did in the long run and wether she kept it off. I also wondering how a thread from 2005 has found its way back to the top to be posted on lol.

Carol - that is fabulous. i'm so glad you were motivated enough to do soem exercise. take it slowly at first. i think a lot of people start out too quickly - get very sore or overworked and then stop. you're much better to take it slowly at first and start to enjoy it and build up your strength and fitness. what works is that you continue to exercise. whatever you do is fine as long as you are moving your body more than you used to! i've woken up deliciously sore (that nice soreness that you know you've moved your muscles) after a great weights workout yesterday. i love that feeling. muscles grow once you've actually ripped the fibres so that slight soreness tells me i've done some good work!
