I'm a newbie! I've been on the reds three weeks now and so far so good- I'd lost 6 pounds when I weighed myself yesterday! Your photo is such an inspiration - you've done so well. I feel like I'm on the way now - though of course concerned about the press recently. I hear that its only temporary though... WA

On the topic of "weighin in", after a long time, I can say that weight gain threatens me day to day and week to week. I lost about 13-15 kg on reds around 2.5 years ago. Since then I have regained as much as 8 kilos although my current weight is a regain of around 6 kilos. What a fight though! I would like to lose those kilos and have tried every strategy I can think of. It always seems that what worked last time doesn't work this time. Anyone seen jellybaby recently? Hello to the oldies from me. Skinny

hi skinny I have found it hard to get rid of the 14lb I put on after reds, but it was my own fault i gained. couldn't go to the gym because I was working on a house with paul ( re-building it) and comfort eating because my dad and alice have both had problems. tried everything for a few months to get rid of the weight before it got stupid and I gained even more. I stuck to slimming world and went to the gym and gained weight, take it that wasn't working lol got a months supply of reds and then they get taken off prescription. Just my luck. Now I have some time to myself, my dad is better and Alice is back to normal-ish I am not going to let the weight creep up. Back to the gym and writting down what I eat so I can keep a record. xxx ali

Hi everyone hope your all ok, I came here after Bettyboop posted on my fb about Reds and I thought of everyone on this forum. I knew they had been taken off of being prescribed as I went to docs a couple of weeks ago and she said that there had been a high percentage of patients on reds having strokes and heart attacks!!! I gained a lot of my weight I lost and started Jan 09 back up at nearly 20 stones again, however I got a new passion - the gym and I go at least 3 but mostly 4 times a week, im back down to 16 stones 10lb atm did lose more but had a couple of 6lb gains over the last year ie when I did my back and also the school hols, just joined a new gym that has a kids club so no more excuses for school hols now. I am actually more toned up and look better this time at this weight than I did a few years back when on reds. I also swim now every week. I dont think I would ever take Reds again, ok they work, but for me I am preferring to do it the way im doing it as its working for me. On a downside I was diagnosed with going through my menopause early and ive refused HRT for now, I am taking some herbal supplements and feel fine for now anyway lol.

hey there wow, what an inspiration you all are! im stopping smoking and using champix, its about day 10 now...have been feeling really sick with it, but persevered. my main worry is putting on weight though, im only 5" and weight 60 kilos there abouts, i was thinkin of trying the reds but then went to drs to get them only to be told they are taken off market. so thinking of trying xenical but reading about lots of nasty side effects with that and also it all seems complicated with trying to work out % fat etc! Jellybaby, well done on your fantastic weight loss, you seem so determined and good for you! keep it up. I wish I had half your spirit! CINDY74
