Hi, I'm new to this forum but having been told by my GP that she can no longer prescribe Reductil i thought there must be others out there in exactly the same boat. I feel it is so unfair that, having finally found a weight loss aid that really worked for me, it has simply been axed. I was taking reductil since September 2009 and in five months lost 2 stone. The loss was gradual and steady, even over Christmas when I still had Christmas Dinner as well as treats, however because I felt full so much sooner than normal I didn't feel the need to overdo things. You must all have had similar experiences and, since none of us would have been taking reductil if good old will power alone had been the answer, perhaps you, like me, are nervous of going on with a weight loss regimen cold turkey. I know I just feel hungry a lot of the time now but I'll keep going in the hope that this will get better. Wish me luck, (I have one more stone to loose), and I'll post updates on my progress in the future.

hi Charlie, I just weighed myself this morning and I've gained 5lbs, so I am really fed up. I honestly didn't think I'd been overeating, however I have been having a couple of glasses of wine with dinner which I hadn't done while I was taking reductil. For some reason I just did not want, or even think about alcohol while I was on it and I was never much of a drinker before taking it but now I just look forward to that glass of wine all day. I'm finding that pretty alarming and wonder if the two are connected, has anyone else felt this or am I just looking for excuses? Anyway I am seriously thinking of trying to buy some Reductil on line, I really do not want to end up back where I was. Good luck with your endeavours. (P.S. Might just give Ms Vorderman's detox a whirl)

I was very happy taking Reductil too, but now I've moved to xenical - have you thought about trying it instead? I'm having a meal replacement shake for breakfast and lunch and then taking the pill in the evening with a low fat dinner. It's worked well so far, but you've got to keep your food low fat, or you will leak (I made the mistake of eating too many peanuts the other day and paid the price!) I'd much prefer to be on Reductil, but what else can I do? WA

The appetite will creep back luckylu, thats why the reds are so good. it makes all the difference. if the reductilbymail website closed id hate to have to go back to xenical. It didnt not work, but it was more of a struggle for me to maintain. Hope you find the answer luckylu.
