Hi I began taking reductil a couple of years ago and lost quite a few kilo. As I had been aking them for a while I stopped and maintained my weight loss for a while but it has begun to creep back on and my blood pressure has also gone up as a result! So because I eat healthy and exercise, to boost my weight loss again and reduce my blood pressure the doc has put me back on the tablets. Have any of you had different expreiences after having a breakl from the tablets and how long have you been on them for? thanks and good luck all Candice

I only went on Reductil in January, and then they recently put a stop to them. I had a couple of weeks with nothing, but felt that all the good work was being undone. So I decided to try xenical. The weight is still coming steadily off, but its much harder, as it doesnt work by supressing your appetite. Are you still able to buy Reductil in Australia? WA

I wonder why you didn't get the ban in Oz ? seems to make a nonsense of it all really as loads of people were devastated by the withdrawal here. Maybe it was panic because they were withdrawn in Europe so we followed suit. We got phone calls from our doctors surgeries telling us to stop and some people were asked to return any unused stocks. It was all in the papers too about the risks of heart attack and stroke and reported a few deaths attributed to the Reds. If you look back on the old threads you'll see the outcry the withdrawal of our beloved Reds caused. Good luck from sunny England Candice ! Jay
If at first you don't succeed........

That's very strange that they're still available there - especially considering its a commonwealth country. I should imagine that standards there are just as strict. Hmmm...let us know if you hear anything Candice!

I've been reading that Australia can still prescribe it to people, but not those with cardio problems. And you can still buy it in the UAE...

I did very well on Reductil - you are lucky to be able to get them. I wonder how much longer we'll have to wait here...The makers must be desperate to get them back out there - they seemed like such a big seller.
