I wanted to try out my ticker, and I wanted to get down some of the things going on in my head.

The doctor prescribed the reds 4 weeks ago, I had a BMI of 45 and was over 20 stone.  Don't get me wrong, i wasn't unhappy with myself, but i've been having some real pain in my knee for several months and had put off going to the doctor because i know i'm carrying too much weight.  Also, I struggle to walk to the local shops which is just pathetic for a woman of 39!

In the first 3 weeks i lost 12lbs (Thursday is weigh day so i don't know how i've done this week yet) and already i've dropped a dress size.  I bought new trousers for work 5 weeks ago... they are falling off me now, so I know i've dropped a dress size already.
Of course I can't see where it's gone yet, but i do feel a lot sexier (don't know why that is, but I'm not knocking it).  I'm more mobile too - which is not a bad side effect!

I don't think I've done too well this week as we had a meal and a few beers on Saturday afternoon.  I couldn't keep up with the rest of them (I was a proper beer monster before the reds) so I drank quite a lot of soda water, then Chinese food.  I know this is not good, but at the end of 3 weeks I'd lost so much weight and my hubby wanted to take me out.

So, here I am - almost a stone lighter than I was a month ago and feeling better than I have in ages.

Well done Macduff!! I hope to feel like you soon, I've only been on them a week. I've never had much confidence in myself but my self esteem is so low atm. My Partner tells me all the time how sexy he thinks I am but I can't believe it as when we got together I was 3 stone lighter and he has always gone out with 'Stunning and skinny' girls - the words of his friends. I feel so rubbish and really hope the reds will make a difference to both my body and body image. Keep up the good work xxx

Well done Macduff,
What an achievement. It feels so good when you drop dress sizes.
I'm sure if you have been good the rest of the week the meal out won't make too much of a dent, and even if you do put on. You know that you can get that blip off easy. Let us know how you get on.
Keep going and your ticker will soon fly to the other side.

Yeah - well done McDuff - you have done so well, and it's so encouraging for us newbies.  I really hope I can shift a few pounds in the first month - it will be such a boost.  Like you, my other half prefers petite girls (am the right height anyway!) and I feel like such a moose sometimes.  Would just love to drop a dress or jeans size.  Keep up the good work xx

Well done to you Macduff. A big pat on the back what a great loss.
You will be having to get a new wardrobe at the rate you are going. Good luck with the weigh in and let us know how it goes.
