Hi Lil, My mom is pretty much up and down - we are going over there today for the night. My cousin is over from Isle of Man so we're hoping to see her and the family too (my only worry is that it might be too many people at once at mom's... but we'll see how that goes) I'm taking all the advice from here and I'm going to have the most chilled out Easter ever - some good music (last night), good company (tonight), good food (Sunday) and lots of good loving (well a girls gotta have something to hope for!)

Tuesday Final week at work and I'm training Neil Newman - not his real name, but he is the new man so that's what I'm calling him (even thinking about setting his log in as newman... would that be evil ) I've started my new pack of reds over the weekend and I think they are working - not felt quite as hungry as usual. We went to a party on Sunday evening and drank loads; so although I've stayed away from easter eggs, I've made up for it with alcohol!! I'm also taking my bp every day in the hope that I can get it to be normal by the time i go back to the nurse next month - it seems to be OK at the moment so maybe it really is just the worry about seeing the nurse that makes it go up? I don't think I'll see a loss this week, (totm and alcohol) but I've seen that my appetite is lower with the new prescription so I'm hopeful

Thursday 27th March Woo Hoo - lost almost half a pound this week! OK so maybe it's not the best loss I've ever had, but I'm pleased with it as it means that they've kicked back in and I'm back on track (oh those famous last words!) Well, what a week.... I got a phone call yesterday from the headhunter to tell me that there is a little problem at new job (he has head honcho visiting) so would I mind not starting until 14th April. That wasn't the worst/best of it - I officially leave my current job on Friday so I'd potentially be out of a job, BUT they will pay me to stay home as I'll be on the books from Monday!!!!! All he wants me to do really is to have a look around the stores and check out what's on offer - to give me a bit of a background into the products that I'm going to be looking after. So I'm getting a couple of weeks off work. Work is currently manic - I'm training the new man who is picking it up really quickly (but it's not easy as there is so much to show him). I'm off out tomorrow night with the girls (and one or two boys) from work. I think they just want to make sure I'm not coming back lol You will see that my picture has changed, (or maybe you won't). Krynn took this picture last weekend and I'm really pleased with it - you can see my face has changed and I'm really SMILING, not just pulling that smile face. Well, I think that's all my news for this week Low Point of Week Not starting new job on Monday High Point of Week Not starting new job on Monday

Hi Rachel Love your new picture, it makes me want to smile back! So let me get this right - you are getting paid to go window shopping? WOW, almost better than getting to be chief bed tester! All that walking around is going to be - well - walking? Great exercise. Well done on the loss and have a great night out. Sue

Wow rach, just had a little catch up with your diary, you are one busy women lol. I have fingers crossed that with two weeks of paid window shopping your BP will come right down and nurse will prescribe again for you, gotta start taking some big deep breaths and counting to ten to relax yourself hun!!!! so did you set his username to newman? ROFL. Hows the book coming along? oh and love the new pic of you.

Thursday 3rd April Well, I don't know how, but I've managed to lose 1lb this week - (curry, night out, takeaway, WHAT!) I'm back under the 17-5 mark so I'm hovering at the 3stone off mark. I'm having a bit of a fat day today (don't know why?) Jelly, No I didn't set him as Newman (I wanted to, but didn't think it would go down well... anyway everyone was calling him Neil Newman for the first few days!) The Book - a bit like the exercise really - started well, but on the back burner! I'd planned to do bit, but as my weight loss has slowed to a snail pace I don't know what I'm going to write about... Monday, not lost Tuesday, still not lost, but had a pork pie to cheer myself up Wednesday, feel guilty about pork pie - should have had a cornish pasty I'll get back to it though when the mood takes me again. I've been shopping this week - on the pretence of market research, and have some lovely shoes for the new job. Funnily enough, they'll look great with the new shirt and trousers! Well, you can't just buy new shoes - what would you wear with them? Here's hoping the fresh air and walking from shop to shop can be counted as exercise? Surely carrying those heavy bags of new clothes has to be beneficial (weight lifting?) Well the new job starts officially on Monday (not week Monday) so I've got to get plenty of rest over the weekend and be fresh as a daisy hahahaha I'm off to a leaving do on Saturday night, then lunch for my friend's 40th on Sunday - I'll probably turn up on Monday looking like I've been partying all weekend and then fall asleep at my new desk (still you've got to make an impression) More news next week!

Sunday 6th April, I have to tell you about last night - me and Phil went to a party for my friend's neice. She's off to Canada for two year contract so she threw a "going away" party and we got an invite. It was great to see her before she goes off (we don't see her very often - neice of friend) but she's always good company. The party was in Rochdale, so we stayed with over with friends (and it meant I didn't have to drive). We got back around 12.30 and the guys had a nightcap - I was feeling a bit queasy, so I only had one drink and started drinking water. At around 3am Jules had a fantastic idea that we should get in a cab and go clubbing in Rochdale. Well, by that time I'd started feeling much better and had gotten my "second wind" so... you know what's coming We got a cab at 3.30 this morning and went to possibly the 2nd WORST club in Rochdale (saving the worst for next time!) As I'd been drinking earlier I didn't want to drink any more so had a bottle of water. We just danced around like freaks; which was good because it meant we fitted in with the other freaks that were already there. There were at least 2 blokes who were older than MY DAD, one of them had obviously gotten his clothes from his son's wardrobe cos he was the male equivalent of mutton dressed like lamb. There were some decent looking blokes in there (sadly not one of them was taller than 5 foot) The women - well what can I say - it seemed that every single one had been touched by the ugly stick and dressed in the dark. They ranged from kids no more than 18 (all boobs and legs) to women older than me (all saggy boobs and varicose veins) - and every single one of them on the pull. I think that quite a lot of the clientele had been out since Friday and had slept in their clothes - hey some of them were probably still wearing last week's clothes (the smell seemed to give that theory substance). I am so happy that I'm married and not actively seeking a relationship, cos if that's all that's out there I would have to kill myself - it was downright BAD! In fact, it was so bad that it was actually a great night! We danced and had a laugh and left in search of food around 5am. Yes, breakfast this morning was at 5.30 and was kfc with gravy and onion rings (yum) Bed was at 6am, and I was up at 7.15 thinking that it was much later than it really was. I didn't get to my friend's 40th lunch, cos we've had snow all day and I didn't want to risk going over the moors and getting stuck in Sheffield. Did get chance to catch up on the tv shows I've missed over the past few days and I'm going to have an early night tonight. I'll let you know how the job goes. Rachel x
