Hi Rachel

Well, it was obviously the t-shirt! Damn, now I am going to miss out on the prize! Errr, can I change my answer? He was drunk, you have lost 3 stone and he likes the Sex Pistols? (Hehe, covered all the bases)

Do I win????? Is that all inclusive? 'Cause I will need plane tickets? I can see to the accommodation! My family home is within walking distance so we can see Wasted and have a few 'refreshing drinks' and walk home...

Seriously, it is just great when you hear comments like that. It really highlights that now you are 'one of the crowd' appearance wise. I remember losing a lot of weight in my late teens and walking down the street getting wolf whistles. Such a great feeling! Now that kind of thing is worth taking as gospel, the mean comments are from unhappy people who should get a life!

Can see you are really dedicated to your exercise here, sacrificing your evenings and weekends to it an' all. Have a great time, and bet if you stick to those sodas you will be posting another loss next week.

Sue

P.S. This forum decided to have "issues" - when I tried to post this first off. Who is trying to get my prize by sabotaging my competition entry!!!

Oh My, I ache - my neck, shoulders and back are in pain but it was worth every second of this too short weekend!

I've been bad this weekend - Friday I spent the night laughing and drinking cocktails with 2 old friends who I've not seen for ages... it was just fantastic.

Saturday was the gig, and I moshed from halfway through the first song until the end of the encores (both of them).  Oh and just to seal the whole "rock chick" thing... I had kebab for my breakfast

Sunday, I went shopping with my mom... yes that's right my MOM.  We went to get her some clothes cos she's going away on Thursday for a fortnight in Egypt.  She's really upbeat and looking forward to some sun, sea and chill out time with my dad.

So, this weekend I drank a lot, but hopefully it will be counteracted with the dancing.  If not, hey it was one weekend and I'm back today eating salad and being a good girl.

I've started my new reds today (original box) and have absolutely zero appetite - here's hoping for good loss in the next couple of weeks!

Right, it's tea time and I've got to go and chase some food around the plate (and drink several gallons of water too)

Thursday 1st May

Well this week... nothing (nothing off and nothing on) which is a good result but must do better next week.

I've been struggling with breakfast this week and had to force a banana (even though I didn't feel hungry).  This morning wasn't so bad and I had 2 pieces of toast with marmite.  I'm eating 3 meals a day and managing not to pick (although last night I allowed myself 2 Toblerone triangles and a tiny piece of 80% dark chocolate)

I'm off to Skegness for the weekend with Phil so I'm not expecting much next week; although we do plan to do some walking.  Last time we went I couldn't walk half a mile without several stops and a long lie down at the end of it - this time we plan to walk all the way from the caravan to the village in one go (about a mile) then have a few beers and walk home

I'll let you know how I get on!

Thursday 8th May

I've lost 2lbs this week - which was somehting of a surprise considering the food/drink at the weekend.  We did do some walking though (and not just to the pub).  Walked from caravan to Ingoldmells market, then around the market for an hour (without sit down).  Got back Monday and have walked to Morrisons twice - last night for something sweet, and tonight for something to do!

The warm weather is helping - I don't want to be sat indoors when it's so warm... so I've been for a walk.  Not far, but it's better than sitting on my ass watching repeats.

Also, my thought for the week is this:
If I want chocolate, I must go to the shop and buy it.  Josh wouldn't go for me last night so I went myself.  It took me 20 mins (5 there, 5 back and 10 to wander round the supermarket)

Well, I'm feeling pretty good today, and the 2lb puts me ever closer to the 16st barrier (breaking into 16, from 17)

Watch this space

Thursday 15th May

What a fantastic week - the weather has been gorgeous and I've been making the most of it by walking to the shop every night.  I know it's not much of a walk, but I'm really enjoying it... blimey I even wanted to run a bit of the way on Monday.

Nurse's appointment yesterday and even though I wasn't worried (I know I've lost) it seems that fate wanted to conspire against me.
Up at 7am, and TOTM (where did that come from, I wanted to lose weight this week to make a good impression)
Ask Josh to make breakfast - he grunts and ignores me (not happy, can feel blood start to boil)
Look in fridge, two bottles of milk both open (lose plot, storm out and go to doc's without breakfast)
Now I realise that having two milk bottles open at once is not the worst thing in the world, but it really REALLY winds me up - why not just finish the first bottle, then open another one?

Got to doc's and calm down a bit - have lost 1kg this month (damn, I reckon it's more but must be water retention) - BP extremely high.
I explained to nurse before taking BP that I wanted to kill the kids, but I didn't think it would have that much of an effect.

She told me I was looking better than last time and I have to monitor my bp for the month.  If it's still up after monitoring she will fit me with a 24hour monitor... great!

Get home, have walk, read book and go to bed at around 9pm - just felt really down and antisocial.

This morning though, different woman - my bp was 148/76 and although I've put on 1lb this week I'm not that concerned (still think it's hormones... or maybe calf muscles from all that walking 2 streets to the shop?)

Having a better day generally - not bought any milk though

Friday Night

What a week - I am so glad that it's Friday!

Mom and Dad are back from Egypt and have bought me a gorgeous silver ring for my thumb.  Mom even got it re-sized for me.... now it's so big it nearly fits over my head lol
I have to take it to the jewellers and get it shrunk to fit me!

I didn't have my walk tonight so I'm going to have to go to Morrisons twice tomorrow to make up for it (well that and the ice cream I've just eaten)

As they were leaving my dad said how good I was looking... you know, smaller!!!

Looking forward to the weekend, lie in - walk to Morrisons - go for a walk around the pond on Sunday and get ready for work on Monday (where did the weekend just disappear to?)

Right, now where's that bottle of wine?

Ah Rachel so comforting to hear someone else gets as wound up by the most stupid things like 2 milk bottles open ooh the cheese put back in the fridge not covered, the tea bags left next to the kettle, Im sure 'they' wait till its our TOTM to do these things just to see us lose it!!! Its a conspiracy Im sure!!!
Everything does seem so much easier (exercise, eating well, being nice....) when the sun is shining... Then the sun went in Thursday and my TOTM came on as well.... crap isnt it... why cant we just stay balanced...
anyway BP will be fine Im sure.. And yeah it must be all that new calf muscle and fluid ret that made you put on a lb..
going to crack open a bottle of vino or 2 tonight as well, need a blow out..
love Lil x
