4th June Well there's been no weigh in this week - only because Thursday is the day and I wasn't here. Where were you Rachel (I hear you ask) I was selling my old wardrobe of clothes! We finally did the car boot in Barnsley - loads of clothes ranging from size 14 right through to 30 (with the exception of size 18/20/22 cos that's what I'm wearing). Me, Krynn, Mom and my sis-in-law were on the market from about 6am and in all we made over £150.00 Some of the stuff was almost new, and we priced it so cheap just to get rid of it, and we got shut of probably half the stock. We're going to Ashton on Sunday to clear the rest of it. I made posters "Big Gals and their Small Sisters" which seemed to work well - I even had an old chap ask me if we had any "little fat man" clothes (had to tell him no... but now I've been in Phil's wardrob I have lol) I'm going to weigh in next week at the nurse - cos tomorrow I've got a hot date... with my brother who's over from Italy for the weekend (he's taking me out to dinner!) I'll let you know how the sale goes after the weekend - I'm going to bed now cos I was up at 5am and my battery is pretty much flat

Hi Rachel Ah, Ashton market - how I miss it! I used to be an avid car boot sale person. Bought all my baby gear from them and then sold it all for a profit when he grew out of it. Get em here, but as garage sales. just not the same. We do have a couple of car boot type things, but not the same without having a few to attend. Anyways, as you can see, I am still here and losing. It's been a while since I posted as I am up to my eyeballs in the last few weeks of my last year of uni. YAY, only two and a half weeks to go!!!! Sorry to ramble on, I just got all sentimental about the Ashton flea market. Back to work for me... Sue

Thursday 12th June What a bloomin week! Market - went really well, although Ashton was a tougher crowd than Hoyland... still we managed to raise about £250.00 across the two days and got my shoulders tanned so not a bad result. Family - mother totally off rails on Sunday and OD'd on sleeping tablets... to teach dad a lesson! I'm not as angry as I was on Sunday, but still not impressed with the general bad behaviour (she's nearly 60 so why act like a six year old!) Weight - Yesterday was my monthly weigh in and I've lost... 1/2 kg! Yep, 1lb over the month, and to cap it all, my BP was sky high again (mother thing cos it only stayed high since Monday!?) I'm going to be fitted with a BP monitor for 24 hours next month. I did mention that I was getting a bit worried that the weight was staying the same and that I've only got a couple of months left... Lorrain (nurse) said not to worry, there are other things we can do after the reds... OMG, is there life after Reds? Got weighed this morning 1/2lb off, still better off than on Work - things going OK, I'm settling down and gradually getting more work to do. Boss seems to be drip feeding me more responsibility. News - got some new specs... they make me look like a film star - Olive from On the Buses! I actually think they're great, but I do have to make an effort and wear makeup/lipstick to pull them off, or risk looking like Olive! I reckon that's all my news for the week. I have to go now and practise for being asked for my autograph ARFUR!

Wednesday 18th June It's finally happened - my BP has raised alarm bells so I'm off the reds for 2 weeks with the promise/threat of Xenical to come! I don't know how I feel at the moment, it's OK for me to stop taking them - that's my choice - but to have them stopped is a bit harder. I know that it's for my health and that high BP is not good so I'm going to try to be philosophycal (when I can spell it) and look on the bright side... just as soon as I've worked out what that is! On a plus note! Today I realised that I've shrunk a bit more - my shirt that pulled so bad I couldn't wear it without a jumper now justs hangs there looking like a satin tent! I nearly cried, cos I just realised how much I'd shrunk. Oh well, it's salad for two weeks and long walks in the hope that the blood pressure sorts itself out and they re-prescribe the reds for me. I can't face Xenical... I'd have to re-type my whole diary on a different forum

Cheers Malone, that makes me feel a WHOLE lot better lol I'm going to have to speak to my financial advisor and invest in some Andrex (or other softy botty paper)if it does come down to the Xenical! I'm feeling a bit calmer about it all now. If I have to come off them for a while then so be it. I'm going to watch what I eat for the next 2 weeks. I just hope that my brain is trained enough to resist the face filling that I'm very good at. Do you know what's really funny? Since Friday I've only took the Reds once (forgot at weekend, took it Monday got letter Monday night so not taken another one) and I've had hardly any appetite had to force food down for two days! Go figure... Can't get enough water down me either, and a bit of a headache. It's like the side effects of first taking them when I've stopped taking them - could they be withdrawal symptoms, or have I just lost the plot completely? Answers on a postcard to the usual address! Rachel x ps, this is a new picture of me and my brother - taken after a great night out... lots of laughing as you can see!

Hi Rachel, I am sorry to hear about you having the reds aside... (Please do not leave the forum, I love your posts! they cheer me up no end!) I am glad to hearing that you are not very hungry... I salute you! Keep it up.. with a bit of luck your "reductil trainign phase" is past and you can live in the real world without crutches (God knows I still need my crutches glue to my body!) Take it easy and if you need to visit the fridge... take detour via the cmputer and delight us with one of your wonderful posts instead. Good luck, Love, Marianne

Thanks Marianne, I couldn't leave the forum, even if they kick me out for being a fraud (no reds) I'd have to come back in disguise lol I think I'll get them again, I just need to get my blood pressure down. So if it takes me six months of sore bum (from Xenical) then another six months of reds that's how I'll do it. I'm shrinking and I like it so you aint seen the last of me yet!
