Well so much for seeing the nurse - she was sick!

I've rescheduled for next Wednesday, which is my monthly weigh in.  It should be interesting cos I'll have been 3 and 1/2 weeks without reds by then so we'll see how I've done without them.

I've had a terrible pain in my knee all week, I think it's cos I slept funny at the weekend - that'll teach me to sleep in a chair!

well, weekly weigh in is tomorrow, so I'll see you then...

Wednesday 9th July

Today I got my 24 hour blood pressure monitor fitted - it's just to keep an eye on me for the night as my bp was still really high this morning.

I've been having a peek at the machine and I'M NORMAL!  woo hoo!

I find out tomorrow whether I get the reds back or not - but I'm not worried cos this month without them I've lost 1kg... which is the same as I've been losing WITH them!

I've not been around for a few days, but I'll catch up with you tomorrow when I've been to the nurse again

Thursday 10th July

I'm back!

My BP was 121/75 (or something like that) and I can have the reds back!
Funny though, cos I was all psyched up to not have them - so it's a bit like Christmas and Birthday all rolled into one!

I'm going to start again tomorrow, and see if I can break through this 17stone mark once and for all - I've been in and out of it for weeks now and it's starting to get on my nerves... body, shape up or ship out cos I'm sick of being in the middle!

So, tonight I'm going to have something delicious for tea, and hope that tomorrow they kick in as quick as first time.  

I'm off to mom's tomorrow night, so I'll catch up after the weekend and let you know how I'm doing.  

It's like being a newbie again... any tips? lol

Thursday 17th July

Where do I start, I've had one hell of a week...

Friday
First day of reds (again) so not holding out much hope really.  I've been trying to keep to a regular diet while I was off so I was pretty convinced that they wouldn't take.  Keeping food diary again (just in case)
Off to mums for night, shared chinese duck and pancakes (delicious, but very fattening)

Saturday
Back home, not hungry but eat something (I know that not eating is the worst thing so I do have a bit)
Invited out on Saturday night with Krynn and her mate so I umm and ahh while looking for something to wear.  Krynn offers me her size 18 denim skirt - laugh hysterically at the thought then try it on... cry like a baby when it zips up first time and I don't look ridiculous.
Go out and dance like a lunatic until rolling home at 5am

Sunday
Feel a bit sorry for myself, what was I thinking... I'm 40 and staying out until dawn (same time next week? lol)
Go pub for karaoke in afternoon and have a pint - hey it's weekend and I've been bad so why not make the most of it?

Monday
Win tickets to see Whitesnake and Def Leppard in Liverpool
Yes, you read it right... I am off to Liverpool to see 2 amazing bands
Appetite still a bit low, but I've had a monster weekend so maybe it's that.  Anyway, feeling excited now so how can I eat
Tea was garlic bread and a bowl of salad - not very good, but really what I fancied

Tuesday
Breakfast but eat lunch - have to force down a sandwich at 3pm cos I'm going to Liverpool and won't eat again until late
Absolutely fantastic time - stood for 4 hours (12 months ago I couldn't have stood for 4 minutes without being in pain)
Home at 1am - hey, it was worth it!

Wednesday
Radio station call me to see how the gig was - I loved it but generally it's back to normal - eating sensibly I think, but have chocolate after tea cos I fancied something sweet

Thursday 17th
Dreaded Weigh Day - after the past week I'm still hoping for 1lb, but am realistic enough to understand that it's unlikely!
Hop on the scales and ...... -4lb

I've lost 4lb this week

Now, I think it's becuase it's my first week on the reds again after a break of a month - or it could be that I've danced it off - either way, I'm not complaining and I'm going to try to do it again this week.

Low of the Week
Blisters from Krynns doc martens - but soooo worth it

High of the Week
Being almost at the front of the Def Leppard gig, that band rocks!

I'm in Liverpool, were they on at the Echo Arena? What's it like? I'm hoping to go and see the Kings of Leon there in December.
Oh...well done for managing to lose 4llb by the way...hehe.

You party animal you!!! you said months ago you love dancing, it is were the passion is for you.. and it helps those lbs melt away!! sounds like another fab weekend/week Rachel!!
always love reading your posts.. hope you don't mind..I'm missing Malone's pearls as well..

Yes it was the arena - pretty blinkin fab - massive but we were on the floor not in the seats so we got quite close (and lovely people too... one bloke moved over so Krynn could see past him)!

Lil,  Oh MY Word - since losing weight I've rediscovered the love of dancing and rock music - and now I can go for hours (if you know what I mean!)
