Update for Thursday 16th October

Lost 2lbs!  woo hoo

It was my 10th wedding anniversary on Friday 10th so we had lots of good food and wine to celebrate - I paid the price with the hangover from hell on Saturday / Sunday though lol

This week's been pretty good, I've stuck to eating regularly and quite healthily... even though I've done my own cooking (Phil's worked late) and I've had a mini magnum or two

The car has run out of MOT so I'm borrowing my friend's car for a week, while she's in Egypt, then back on the bus for a week until pay day (and MOT).

Oh, top bit of the week...
Twiggy's Frock Exchange!
After watching it, we decided to root through the suitcase under the bed and I found a great dress that I thought I'd sold in the summer and looks pretty good on (Krynn says I'm allowed 1 sofa dress - this is it!).  I have to go through the wardrobe again cos things are starting to get too big... Oh the shame haha - my bra is FINALLY starting to be TOO BIG... I may have to invest in "chicken fillets" although in my case it's probably going to be turkey fillets

Monday 3rd November

I'm offically an ex!

Lorraine, my nurse, has taken me off the reds... well i've had them for a year so it's no surprise really.

She was trying to find me other options, but I don't want Xenical (ooh get her miss picky knickers), and apparently Accomplia is being withdrawn!  I'm not at all bothered though, because the offer is there next year.  I have to wait for six months and lose a further five kgs then i can have reds again!

I'm going to relax, and enjoy Christmas - watch what I eat and try to be good, but I've realised something (or I've learned something)?!  My relationship with food is different now - I don't eat a packet of biscuits just because they are open and I can have one or two without feeling guilty or bad about it.  Maybe now is the time to see how Rachel can manage without drugs telling her brain to stop eating - perhaps it's time for my brain to work on it's own.

Oh I'm not going - I'll be here until the end, but I'm just going to be an ex, rather than a current user!

Ooooh, the excitement of going it alone and trying to succeed (watch this space)

Thursday 6th November

I'm half way through the first week of no reds... I can't stop eating, I daren't get weighed! lol

Actually, it's been a funny old week really.  I told you about my coming off the reds, but I was so excited about being drug free that I didn't tell you about Friday night - Hallowe'en!

Our local pub decided to have a fancy dress night, I did the posters (Frenny Fright Night!) so I thought it would be rude not to go.

Now, you won't believe it, but I do like to dress up and happen to have a witch outfit that I've had for ages (it's a duvet cover that I chopped up to make a cloak and a long skirt).

A top?  Well, that's easy I've got loads, well I had until I sold them in the summer.  No fear, Krynn is working as a volunteer for Scope so I checked out what they had last weekend and found a fab little size 20 suede top (strapless with lace up back) and a see through shirt with frills to wear over the top.

I made the skirt about 12 years ago, it was too big then, but I've grown into it over the years   Anyway, I put it on and had to take it in by about 2 inches.  So while I had the needle and thread out I thought I'd show a bit of leg (it's a wraparound), so I tacked it up just enough to show some thigh...

The two tops were a success, with the corset type one over the top of the see-through one.

Now, you're wondering where this is going... I didn't tell you the best bit - my bra was from Asda, it was £4 and it was a 42E (last year it was from JCB and 48F)

So, I went out in my wig, skirt that showed so much thigh you could see my shorts, and a top that made my boobs look like two bald men fighting under a suede blanket (in short... Hot, hot, hot)

I ran to my friend's house with my cloak swishing and the hood up, looking really witch-y, and yes I did mean run (in heels)

I had a great time, and I'll post some pics on here because I think I looked great

This post has nothing to do with reds, or weight loss, or the things you're supposed to talk about, it's more of a share my weekend thing.

So anyway, now I'm waiting for Christmas so I can be one of Santa's little helpers.  Although I feel like dressing up as Elvis...

"What do you mean the card said elves, I'm sure mine said Elvis"

Monday 10th November

I've had a great weekend, and this morning I decided two things...

1 - GET WEIGHED

2 - SET TARGET FOR WEIGHT LOSS THIS WEEK

So, I weighed in at 17st dead on, and my target for this week is 2lbs

I don't usually weigh on a Monday cos all the weekend naughtiness is there, but I was in the bathroom in my undies and thought "what the heck".  Also, the gain over the weekend has set me thinking that it is going to be SO EASY to put weight on without the reds.

Today, so far, I've had a Shape yoghurt and a bowl of home made veg soup.  I'm not overly hungry, but I have a WW risotto for later if I do get hungry.  I've made a batch of soup for this week and it's in the freezer (better soup than chocolate/crisps if I get nibbly during the day).  I've also got some fruit tea instead of coffee.  I didn't realise how much coffee I'd drunk last week (all decaf) but more in one week than I've drunk in a month!

I'm feeling pretty good today actually, and tonight we are going to walk to the supermarket for bread and salad for my lunches.  I think the best thing for me would be Weight Watchers points as I lost weight doing that a few years ago and still have the books!

So, after a naughty weekend being silly and laughing with mates, I'm trying to keep myself on the straight, but not so narrow! lol

I haven't posted so much in one day for months!

I am absolutely stuffed, had my tea about an hour ago... omelette and salad, with some crusty bread and butter, then a piece of bread and butter with 1/2 teaspoon jam.  I worked out that if I follow Weight Watchers I can have 26 points each day - and I've JUST had my points for hte day... how easy was that?  I'd only had 7 until I got home then eggs, cheese, bread for tea and boom!

Anyway, that's not the reason for posting tonight.  I've got some new jeans!  Krynn is volunteering at a charity shop and she keeps picking up these little nuggets of bargains.  Today it's a pair of Tesco jeans (boyfriend cut) for £3.50 - I was a bit unsure of them cos I don't do boyfriend cut, my hips are a bit big for them, but I got them on and zipped up.  The best bit?  They are a size 18.  Now I know I've been wearing size 18 on and off for several months, but these have no stretch to them and are boyfriend cut, so I'm buzzing

Also, it's kind of spurred me on to great things - if I can get these jeans on now (albeit with a shoe horn) then by Christmas I should be able to wear them easily.

You know what JG, these are the little bits of heaven.

Forget driving a flash car, or dating Brad Pitt (he talks non stop about his wife and kids), it's the little things like a new pair of jeans and butter on fresh bread that make the world feel like a good place.

I don't know what is happening, but I can't stop drinking water - I've gone through nearly 2 litres this morning - it's like the raging thirst that first came with the reds is back!?

It was the same last night and I just wanted to drink loads.

Maybe my body is starting to react to no reds - still it beats tucking into the crisps

I'll let you know how I go on, but this is weird (even for me) lol
