You know what JG, these are the little bits of heaven. Forget driving a flash car, or dating Brad Pitt (he talks non stop about his wife and kids), it's the little things like a new pair of jeans and butter on fresh bread that make the world feel like a good place.

I don't know what is happening, but I can't stop drinking water - I've gone through nearly 2 litres this morning - it's like the raging thirst that first came with the reds is back!? It was the same last night and I just wanted to drink loads. Maybe my body is starting to react to no reds - still it beats tucking into the crisps I'll let you know how I go on, but this is weird (even for me) lol Rachel x

This is getting ridiculous now - I've gone from dry mouth to bloody constipation and not sleeping properly! I'm having more side effects now that I'm off the reds than I did when I was on them. Today I've drunk almost 4 litres of water and still have a dry mouth (can't physically drink any more for fear of drowning). The good thing though, I feel like I'm stuffed, although that could be because I ate a large meal this evening. I'm doing the dieting backwards... instead of eating a large breakfast and a light supper I'm on yoghurt for breakfast, soup/salad for lunch and a proper meal in the evening. I'm trying to stick to WeightWatchers points, but after potato bake and pork chop tonight I've gone over today's points Oh well, I didn't have ice cream so that's got to count for something. I'll let you know how the side effects are going - it's just getting so weird it's almost in the twilight zone Rachel x

Thursday 13th November Got on scales and am back at 16-10 (that's 3+lb since Monday!) The side effects are still here, and today I have a headache! It could be more to do with the computer though than the reds (or lack of them). Also, I feel a bit deflated today, as though someone has taken all my vim anyway I'm pleased with the loss although I fear it was pmt and water weight - hey take it where you can get it is my new motto lol I'm wearing my size 18 Tesco jeans today for work with a dress over the top... perhaps that's why I have a headache? they are so tight that it's cutting off the oxygen above my waist hahahaha Not drunk as much today though so perhaps I'm coming through the other side of the phantom side effects? Oh well, I'm claiming the 3lb loss as a good thing (even though it's really yo-yo weight... it's on and off), and I'm hoping that next week I can break through the 16-10 mark and finally hit 4 stone loss?! Watch this ever decreasing space

it's so funny that there are certain weight barriers that seem to take so much effort to break through. for me it's evey 5 kilos ie 85kg, 80kg and now 75kg. i've been hovering just above 75kg for about 6 weeks and can't seem to break the barrier, i know it's a mental thing. anyway i think this next week is going to see me bust through it. my husband is very supportive and has been laughing with me about these barriers. i should just change my scales to say 74kg and then i wouldnt have the problem for 4 more kilos! ....actually maybe that's a good idea to try....then i'll be battling the 70kilo mark!! funny how our brains work.

Thursday 20th November Another week of no reds, another loss (woo hoo) Only 3/4lb, but it takes me under the 16-10 mark - 16-9 and 1/2 I had a couple of glasses of wine last night, actually it was a bottle of wine and a 2litre bottle of fizzy water... I drank almost all the water and still have a 3rd of a bottle of wine left. I slept like a log though! I'm out all weekend, Friday night with my mates (few beers), Saturday at a presentation (driving) and Sunday at a gig (driving) so only one night of alcohol, but 3 nights of fun! Speaking of which... I won tickets to see a band on Tuesday in Manchester, I told the dj about my pole dancing adventure and he agreed that although it wasn't "extreme" behaviour (purely a sensible conclusion to a good night out) I did deserve tickets. Another 3 hours of standing and loud music and even though my feet hurt it was "new trainers" that was the problem, not the weight meaning I couldn't stand on my own! All in all, another good week Reds Nil Rachel -3/4lb Fun Filled Adventures +10
