kick the nurse, then leg it.... it's all exercise! I know, KFC - but it was either that or Pizza Hut, you see we were out in town and going to the gig and although i'd had a beer I'd not eaten (well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it lol) I've seen that there are a couple of names on the ban the scales... I'm hoping for 10 names - that will be pretty good (how many will really stick to it though?)

What a good idea! I'm sure I could get a wriggle on quick enough to get out of the surgery before the nurse chucks the B.P monitor at me Kev won't be the only one who can leg it then! haha Ah, well yes, I could see your problem about what to eat while you was out. No doubt the healthy salad option was off the menu - no lettuce left I reackon. So when that happens, it's got to be a KFC hasn't it? Totally understandable Rachel. Not only that, but beer doesn't go well with salad in your tummy, it's just not made to go together you know! So I reackon you have a good enough excuse there Rachel. Debs xx

Well I never! I've just been reading another thread, and found we have something else in common you and I. Apart from liking KFC, having a daft sense of humour etc etc.... I'm an old school rocker too! yep, give me old style rock anyday! Apart from Nickelback, they're not old rock but I like them! Iron Maiden, etc etc etc...Ah bliss! I had a feeling you were a rock girl at heart, when you was saying about the music at the gym! I always put mine on when I'm doing my Pilates weight loss workout. My god it gets the calories burning! heehee. I wonder if you could convince them at your gym to put your music on for a change............ I can see all the bright red hot faces now at the end of the session!...........haha Debs xx

Wednesday Debs, no chance of rock music in the gym - it's all videos of skinny birds with wavy hair wiggling their bums to nondescript dross... which is funnier to watch when you're listening AC/DC! I was bad at the weekend, we spent the weekend with an old friend - laughing, drinking, shopping (and a 2 mile walk to the pub so that was exercise). We even ran through the fountains in Picadilly, just for the hell of it - I told you it was a bad weekend!!! I'm really glad I've joined the ban the scales campaign this week, because I daren't get on them, and for some reason I'm struggling to eat - really don't feel hungry. I've had 2 days holiday, and today I didn't get up until 10.45 - at 12.30 I made myself a salad (anchovies, sundried toms the works), with a chunk of bread - but I couldn't finish it... so unlike me!! I went to the gym yesterday and worked on my new programme, am feeling it in my shoulder blades today, so i'm gonna give it a miss and back tomorrow, and Friday. I want to get 3 sessions a week done whenever I can - but I'm sure that even 2 is better than nothing. No weigh in this week - scale ban - but I'll let you know how I'm doing at the weekend

Skinny birds? Oh, you mean women who don't know how to enjoy food? heehee. Nah, couldn't handle seeing that at the gym. OOh that sounds like a great weekend you had, not a bad one! I'm glad I'm not on the scales this week! Not pigged out, but it's the t.o.t.m......... By the way, I'm going to give you a lecture!! YOU MUST EAT 3 MEALS A DAY! whether you want it or not! heehee I'm back to 3 meals a day now, but I don't eat anything inbetween these days, just not hungry. What's the new programme your doing at the gym, are you enjoying it? Have you got a nice hunky male trainer helping you? Yeah I know, we should be so lucky! ...Oh well...... I've just added to our 'Scales' thread, it should give you a laugh! haha DONT FORGET TO EAT AGAIN LATER! - I should talk, I've only had chance to eat once today as well! Keep on Rocking girl!! Friday 28th August As I'm part of the Ban the Scales gang, there is no weigh in this week - probably just as well, after last weekend (and a bottle of wine during the week.. spread over 3 nights) To be honest, it's not the best of days today, and I'm back on the "can't face food" diet. Had a massive argument over night and I've had about an hour's sleep since 7am yesterday, now I just don't want to do anything except cry and feel sorry for myself. I just need a good night's sleep and I'll be fine - or as good as it gets

Hey Rachel Are you ok, what's up girl? Is there anything I can do to help you? I'm so so sorry you've had a bad time, and are very upset, it's so unlike you. Oh my heart goes out to you love, I've only just come on here are seen your post. Please try and eat alittle something later on today, even if it's some toast or cereal or something. Otherwise your blood sugars will drop too low and you will feel even worse. You said you had a massive argument, it seems to have knocked you off your feet today. I do hope things sort themselves out for you soon, and that you feel better soon too. Get it out of your system and cry as much as you need to, then try and get yourself some decent sleep ok!! If you need someone to talk to, my shoulder is here for you Rachel to lean on. Take it easy girl, and look after yourself or you'll have me to deal with, ok! Leave a note on here over the weekend so I know how your doing. Debs xx

Thanks Debs! I'd like to say it's better, but I'd be lying - it looks as though me and Phil are splitting up (that hurts to write down) and I am absolutely broken. I've slept some, about 6 hours since Thursday morning, but other than that I just feel dazed and empty. There is no silver lining either - I've not eaten properly since Thursday evening - so I'm not even going to lose weight and be slim and gorgeous. I know that I should be eating, but honestly I can't face it. I cooked a lasagne for my son and his mates on Friday (tasted a bit of bacon that I was putting into it), but food just doesn't interest me. I am drinking plenty of water so at least there is something in my system. Don't worry about me, when I'm ready I'll sleep and I'll eat - it's just not happening for me at the minute. Sorry, this is supposed to be my weightloss diary and here I am pouring my heart out.

Oh Rachel, Iam so so sorry to hear about you and Phil. I will admit I don't know anything about your family etc, I knew you had a son though. I am just so shocked to read what you have written this morning. I had no idea you were going through a bad time as you've still been your jolly self all week! As a matter of fact, I'm sitting here crying for you! I know I don't know you personally, but I've always felt abit of a link with you and enjoy chatting to you. I just can't believe this has happened to you, Oh I'm so sorry! The dazed and empty feeling you've got is shock love, it may take a while to go. You may think there is no silver lining at the moment, but there will be Rachel, believe me, there will be. Don't you ever think that your not going to lose weight and look gorgeous!! Ok, so at the moment you feel your world has fallen apart and your hurting like hell, anyone would feel the same. I know love, I've been there!!!! I hated myself and put myself down and couldn't even look at myself! But now I won't do that to myself anymore, I'm me, I'm a lovely person AND I KNOW IT! Now listen to me Rachel......... You know your limits, and you know how far your body can go without food. But please, don't make the mistake I did and make yourself ill ok? Take your time and don't worry about losing weight etc etc. When your ready you will start to get back on track. But listen, don't ever put yourself down ok! Your a lovely warm hearted person Rachel whos heart is in the right place. You've helped alot of people on this forum and cheered them up when they've been down. My thoughts are with you Rachel while you are going through this hard time. If you ever need to blow off some steam or just need to chat, give me a shout ok? Look after yourself ok! Debs xxx

Hey Debs It came as a bit of a shock, only happened Thursday night, but it seems like the whole world has stopped now. I've been divorced before, but I was the one who left the marriage and I can honestly say I've never been hurt in a relationship before - I don't like it!! The looking gorgeous comment was me trying to find humour in all this - not eating so losing weight and looking great (except that we all know if you don't eat you don't lose weight!) Thanks for being there - you know how sometimes it's easier to tell your problems who is totally out of the firing range - it's pretty cathartic (along with washing and cleaning the bathroom.. but i'm not sure if that's the breakup or the reds!!) I won't be like this for long - I am a strong woman who will only lie down for so long before i come back fighting - I'm giving myself the weekend to cry and try to work things out... after that it's business as usual (single or married). I'll be back and to paraphrase the $6m dollar man... gentlemen we can rebuild her, better than she was before, better, stronger, faster!
