Saturday 19th September

I didn't get weighed yesterday - was having a down day, and couldn't face it!

Last night my son agreed to let me go out with him    I had a fantastic night - a band and dj were on in the pub, I was rocking and drinking and laughing my head off!

This morning I new about it... mad headache!  Worth it though - it reminded me that I'm doing OK, and that losing the weight has given me this new lease of life!

I guess I'll have good and bad days for a while yet, I was in such a mess yesterday that I only ate 4 slices of toast all day - until we went out and I had a chip butty!  Not the ideal food, but I just couldn't face it again... I know it's wrong, and that I need to stop but it's so much easier said than done!

Anyway, today I'm on good form again - it was the fun of last night, and the cheese/beans on toast for breakfast that solved it I think!

I'll get weighed on Friday, see how I'm doing

Hi Rachel,

I've only managed to pop on here once a day the last few days, as at the moment I'm ill with Swine Flu.

I just wanted to see how you are doing and if you are ok.  I hope you are.

P.S - I've never heard of a vodka curry either! haha

Friday 25th September

Well, according to my scales I've lost 3lb - but according to the ticker it's 7lb since last update.  Either way, the weight is still moving in the right direction (away from me!!)

Generally, I'm in good form, car still dead - but have plan to get it fixed.  I'm also going out (a lot) which is either a good or bad thing, depending on your point of view.  However, as I have no car, I'm back to walking 4miles a day!

This weekend, I've been invited to my friend's Conservatory Warming - literally!  She's just had a radiator fitted and it's going to be warm... what should one wear to such an event?

I'll keep you updated later

Debs, I'm in good form - lots happening, and it's not all bad

Well done you Rachel!!

It sounds like you've picked yourself up, dusted yourself off, and getting stuck in to the world again - good on ya girl!!

Hey get you eh, walking 4 miles a day!  You'll soon be joining Kev doing running, heehee.

As to what one should wear to a Conservatory Warming function.......
I always find the Carmen Miranda look goes well.  The colours and tropical odours of the fruits blend in well with the warmth of the conservatory.  I find it goes well every time I attend such a function.
( I bet some people are going...'Carmen who?' ) haha.

Do let one know how your friends function goes Rachel.

Have a nice weekend

Hi Rachel,

Hows the weight loss going this week?
I hope you didn't waste all that fruit on your Carmen Miranda headress!
I bet you had men trying to nibble at the fruit all night long, heehee

Seriously, I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed youself.
I'm nearly back to my old self again ( is that good?? ), so hopfully I can get back into the swing of the 'reds' again.  I'm only on my second day, but I'm finding I'm abit peckish still.  I think it's because of where I've been ill, I've felt like I've needed comfort?  In the past when I've been ill like that, I've always treated myself to something nice to cheer myself up - food!  And of course this time I haven't, so I think my mind is trying to trick me into thinking I'm hungry for something nice. Does that make sense?  Or am I the only one who's ever thought like that? - Oh I hope not! haha

Hope your having a good week so far Rachel.

Libby... I am living life to it's fullest, catch up
soon xx

Debs, yeah, I reckon your brain is trying to fool you
into eating... cos you've always done it when you've
been ill.  Or it could just be that you are genuinely
hungry (especially if you've not eaten much while ill)
and your body needs the bit extra to continue making
you better.

What do I know - my answer to everything is a bacon
butty (but hey, if bacon butty is not the answer, then
you are asking the wrong questions!)

Will fill you all in regarding weekend/car etc later,
when I'm not on my lunch break xx
