Nearly a week into the Xenical, and the only difference I've noticed is that I'm actually writing everything down, and I'm eating 3 meals a day... which is the kick start I needed! I don't know if I'm eating enough fat to make them work, or to give me the "side effects" as the worst that has happened has been wind (but I share an office with men, so I just pretend it was them!) I've not put batteries in the scales, and I don't plan to - I just plan to eat better and behave a bit, and hopefully that will be enough to kick start my body into the "diet" and change of lifestyle that I need. I'm off to Lancaster tomorrow night, over the next 4 weekends I'm performing at 6 events - so the stress of that should knock off an ounce or two!

My god I've got wind - it's a nightmare! Fortunately I'm in the office on my own today, so no need to blame the dog (or office junior)

Well I had my weigh in, and surprisingly I've lost 3kg! Funnily enough, I've not had the side effects, and the only real difference is that I am eating regular meals instead of living on chocolate and energy drinks. I've got another month supply of Xenical and will keep you updated on how that goes. On another note, I tried on a corset last week for a show, and it fitted really well. Most corsets have a modesty panel (about 6") to allow a gap at the back without exposing flesh. When I got the corset last month I couldn't fasten it without a gap showing... now I can. Small victories

2012, so it's over 4 years since starting to lose weight... and guess what? I'm back to where I started from Xenical doesn't seem to work for me, I don't really eat that much fat - I just eat and eat and EAT I'm giving serious consideration to reductrim as a way of convincing my brain that it's time to stop eating

Hi Rachel ! sorry things haven't gone the way you hoped, it seems we all tend to have these setbacks, but onwards and upwards ! Have you seen the new thread started by Dion on the 5th of September 2011 ? maybe you could join that discussion as you were always so helpful with encouragement and humour. I've been here a long time but used to post under a different name, no sinister reason just that things got a bit nasty but those people were deleted by Admin. All the best xx

My reductrim arrived today - I'll be starting it tomorrow. To be honest, I'm not expecting much from them (but hoping for great things) I'll let you all know how it goes

I woke up full of anticipation - my first "red" today, would it work or would it leave me out of pocket and stuffing my face with biscuits? It's only Day 1, so don't take this as a success, but so far I left half my porridge, only ate my lunch, turned down pork pie and am waiting for toad in the hole for tea (but not eating bread and butter whilst waiting) So far, so successful - but like I say, it's only Day 1 and everything can change

Day 2, and it's still going well I had fruit for breakfast (I forgot my porridge) and I ate 2 packs of mixed fruit from Asda - thought I'd only eat 1, but so glad I bought 2 For lunch, we went out to the pub, and I only managed half the chips, then I turned down biscuits in the afternoon, but did have fish and chips for tea (left some again) I'm drinking loads, 3 bottles of 750ml water, because I feel that I have a dry mouth - it could be imaginary, but I don't care!

Day 3 and it's Saturday. I've been on a photo shoot in Wigan - my friend wanted to do an outfit shoot, and I went along for a bit of fun, oh and blimey did I have fun. Breakfast, porridge and coffee from Macdonalds Lunch, at 4pm (after the shoot) ham & cheese sandwich It's 7.15 and I'm waiting for John (other half) to come home and we're having take-out for tea. I've had no urge to snack, although I've been feeling the dry mouth today quite a bit (I like it) So, I'll let you know how Saturday night goes!
