I know what you're thinking, you're thinking take-out and Saturday night... off the rails!

You'd be wrong (woo hoo)

We ordered in, John opened a bottle of wine and I couldn't even finish the starters.  The meal is in the microwave for tonight's tea and not a drop of wine passed my lips.

Today has been much of the same, porridge for breakfast and a ham salad sandwich for lunch.  I've got last night's take-out for my tea and I'm drinking loads of water.  Still no urge to snack, still feeling full in between meals.

I've got scales so tomorrow I'll get weighed and see how bad it is; I haven't faced scales for so long because I was scared to get on them.  At least now, whilst I don't want to know how much I weigh, I know I'm doing something about the weight so don't feel quite as bad.

Well done Rachel hoping the last few days will show up on the scales, you're on the right path ! just wish I could get going too.

Do you ever have that feeling of Deja Vu?  I do!

Today I was at the hospital to see about the pain in my knee, and was told that I have arthritis in my left knee, worse than in my right.

Short term they can offer me physio and steroid injections, however long term I will probably need a knee replacement.  I feel like my world just caved in!

Now, more than ever, I need to lose weight - before it was vanity, I don't feel pretty when I'm fat.  Now though it's my health, I need two working legs (call me selfish!)

So, I'm going to try even harder to shift this weight, although to be fair, after finding this out - my appetite has disappeared completely!

Tuesday, I felt a bit nibbly earlier (had there been something to pick at - I would have picked), fortunately I only take to work what I want to eat!

Today it's been a tub of porridge (only half, it was lumpy)
3 slices of bread, made into beef sandwiches.  I've started cutting the bread into quarters, so I get 6 sandwiches.

Tea tonight could be anything - I'm in no mood to cook and John isn't home until after 9

Oh, and the scales don't work, so I don't know whether I'm losing or gaining weight

Oh dear, it's happened - I'm not hungry!

I know you're thinking, "surely that's the point" but you'd be wrong.  Not eating is just as bad for you as over eating when it comes to losing weight.  So, I'm going to have a sandwich for my tea (not ideal) and then hit the sack.

On a different thread, I'm involved in an event in Manchester this year - co-organising with another lady... it's going to be magical - more info to follow.  It's also spurring me on to greatness, I need to look awesome in a corset by July!

Thursday, I'm alone for the night (John is working early so he's staying at his parents' house), I've just had my dinner and I'm chilling in front of the tv.

I have a show tomorrow in Lancaster, a paid gig, 2 acts - I have to pack my bags so I can't be settling for too long.

I'm feeling satisfied with the food intake, and the pills are seeming to work well.

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow night - first time in heels for weeks!

Sunday (blimey I've been missing for 2 days, but what a couple of days)

Friday night went really well - I wore heels for the first time in weeks, and performed as well as I've ever done.  Saturday I spent most of the day with Matthew (he's 3) and his mum, after her driving lesson.  We went to Bury and wandered around the market and the shops for a couple of hours.

Saturday night was full of booze... and I enjoyed every single drop of it (even though it's bad whilst dieting).

Today I have been wedding dress shopping, for my daughter's upcoming wedding... more about that later

Monday

I've not been in work today, I had other things that took over - kids mainly

Anyway, because I've not been in work I haven't eaten properly.  I had scrambled eggs and a piece of bacon on toast, then a cheese and pickled onion sandwich for lunch.  Tonight we're having chips and a pork chop or sausage.

Actually, I know I've eaten a lot (although still not as much as I usually would) I've not nibbled or snacked all day so perhaps I've not been all that bad?

I'm just kidding myself aren't I?!

Got batteries for the scales, so I'll get weighed later

Hi Ambie.. I'm taking Reductrim (which I bought online)

It's not ideal, but a few years ago Reductil worked for me and these come a close second to them.
