MoonGoddess, I read all of your entries here and can sympathise with your plight. I am having a similar battle with my doctor in that for the last 2 months I have never.... read that NEVER.... been weighed on the same scales. I go every 2 weeks to see either the nurse for BP check or the Doctor for next prescription and get weighed each time. I have seen 3 different nurses in 3 different rooms and the doctor has changed her scales since I've been seeing her.

It makes me laugh that you are now so experienced with the BP monitor and the scales that you are explaining to your DOCTOR why things are not correct in the surgery!!!!

Anyway, I'm back at the nurse on Tuesday and I plan to take my own scales with me so I can get some consistency!!!!

Hi MG

My blood pressure was rising just reading about this ineffectual doctor! Well done on getting through your appointment and keeping sane.

Great to hear from you. Hope you're are neither dead or having a heart attack today. Silly doctor...

Sue

OMG I am so laughing here at your stupid doc/nurse, I think you should take your new set of scales with you next time (not that you should) and also a calculator to show your 9% loss.  I am so glad my nurse is on the ball (and on reds herself).  Just read your "fern britton is looking thin" comment, I saw some pics of her in a magazine this week at a very thin size 12 - grrrrrr, I think she looks too gaunt!!!!!!!! spoke to a women up my school who had a gastric band fitted in May this year (£4,900) she has now lost 5 stones and is going back to have it tightened again (£100 a time) its so tempting, if only the banks were allowing more remortgaging ROFL xxx take care hun xxx

Hi MG, Your nurse sounds totally incompetant and not at all what you need! You need encouragement and understanding - losing weight is so hard and when you have a lot to lose it feels like it will take forever, so I do sympathise with you.

I read that you are allergic to dairy - so am I, well actually I am intolerant to it.  If I do have a day eating chocolate or anything with milk in it, I find that I am very down the next day and tired. Just thought it was worth pointing this out to you, if you do have any dairy, you might be experiencing the same change in emotions (maybe it poisons our system or something).

Good luck with your weight loss - I think you should ditch the German scales and only weigh on the Salter ones, cos you will drive yourself crazy otherwise.

Take care.

Forever positive and hopeful

I'm glad you all liked what occured at the docs! I sat there thinking the people on the forum will get a real laugh out of this!

Well no weight loss as of today but I'm feeling a little low for another reason.

I'm going to Goodwood for the motor racing tomorrow. My brother bought a family membership when we first started going 10yrs ago. I always loved sitting at trackside but one year two blokes behind us were sitting making fun of me quite severely. My OH got furious and threatened to put them in the hedge. They eventually left still going on that my boobs could never be that big they must be plastic.

It was also the hottest day of the year, that year and I must have drunk 5ltrs of water.

Due to mum's stroke, I have not been for 3yrs. My OH went with my Bro last year and they utilised the GRRC membership, got dressed up in suits and took to the members area to see "orf the riff-raff!" Actually when we first went 10yrs ago there was a lovely atmosphere but the last couple of years I went there were people pushing and shoving and being generally nasty and it was very corporate.

Anyhow, to cut a long story short, mum is off to respite tomorrow for one night only so I can go to the 10th anniversary.

I could get away with wearing black jeans but I've no nice top and I've not had my hair done in yonks - the last time the hairdresser refused to put a fringe in which I always have because I have a slight widows peak. So I currently have old bleached ends and it's swept back into a chav ponytail because it looks so bad. I really want to have my hair cut if nothing else, but I cant afford big money.

Mum is also home all day today and I'm not supposed to leave her. But I really want to get the old Barnet done, and miraculously lose another two stone while we are at it! LOL

Dunno what to do. Only have a little money on the credit card and no real cash.

Hi MG. Could you maybe ask a hairdresser just to give you a dry trim, get rid of the ends, and maybe put in a fringe, then buy a temporary colour to wash in yourself? It would cover any old colour and give you a fresh look, but is easily washed out if you hate it.
If the weather there is as gorgeous as it has been here today you could just clip your hair up differently or put a hat on!
Whatever you decide to do have a great day out, you deserve the break.

Well I had my hair done and by sheer fate I turned up and my hair was going to be done by the hairdresser I lost contact with 6yrs ago who I implicitly trust with my hair.

I couldn't find any clothes at Evans - 3 x size 30 tops and ALL were far too small.

I came home and wondered if some of the size 30 and 28 tops I bought over 6yrs ago were way too tight on me - nope! I have been wearing a size 28 top bought in 1999 today. It's not stretched and not stretchy either. I was right, Evans are making their clothes too bloody small!

OK back onto the rest of the news. Sunday I was 26st 4lbs which is great. I go out and have a homemade cheeseburger and a Little Chef breakfast and dessert. Just on one day. I have felt poisoned since Sunday as my joints ached so much yesterday. So I just had those things on one day and I now weigh 26st 7lbs yesterday and this morning!

How can 3lbs go on just like that? If that were the case, all the weight I have lost would go back on in just over a week!

Anyhow, I also took some Aqua-ban for the first time today, just to see if that makes any difference. OMG the hunger! No wonder Kelsey is always a starvin' Marvin' - I think it's the water tablets!

It got so bad, I was in Tescos getting some fruit and veg and I smelt the half baggettes and bought 2    and some Brie    and at the lot when I got home!

AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH! My first binge - nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I have never felt so hungry as I did today. I didn't take anymore water tablets and now I feel full.

I'm actually very worried as I keep getting to 26st 4lbs and then going back up and I feel the doc may well take me off of the Reds next time if I'm not careful!

I have also felt very tired and run down these last two months. Mum is very draining, but I am not doing major stuffings of badness. So I don't know why I'm not losing.

I've thought about buying some ankle weights to wear about the house and getting some small hand weights but I don't know if these will do much good.

I have no energy to exercise at the moment either.

I'm very scared the doc will take me off of these - especially with Dr Panic claiming I'm gaining loads of weight.

Meh...I just bought these

and these

no links please!

got them on the Super Saver Free P&P order and so they will be here next week. I used to have some ankle and wrist weights - they were good.

I've no idea how to use the dumbells but I'm sure there will be some sort of instruction in the box.

Trouble is, is I am very strong even though I'm bloody fat, so I guess it wont be too long before I'm upgrading these.
