Hi Shazzy. Thanks for that. Been off the reds about a week and pain is a little better. Do you sprinkle linseeds on everything? Tried fibresure but it had no effect. Do linseeds alter the taste of food? I have vowed to myself to start back on the reds and diet on Monday. I was doing so well. 8lbs off in 3weeks. Would say I've put on twice that though. I'm too scared to check. Have a wedding to go to at the end of the month and one in the middle of november. Really wanted to wear a dress! Doubt it now.

Hi Moongoddes how's things this week, hope your doing ok!!

Might give those linseeds a try too, have taken senakot but they hurt my stomache..

Hi all.

I made a promise to Ginny not to weigh til Saturday but obviously had to for the doc. I got to see my doc for the first time in over a year. She was very pleased with the weight loss but concerned about the slow up in it. She wanted to put me straight on 15's but I asked for another month on 10's purely because when I see her next, mum will have one week left of respite and if I suffer insomnia or any other bad effects, I could go back to 10's before she comes home.

Also, I have very little time with her as the stupid receptionist had me booked in for next week instead of today, so my doc fitted me in very kindly but obviously I couldn't take up too much time. She asked me to get on the scales, having told her of my issues with Dr Panic. I got on them and they were nearly right but she just looked and said "Oh they are no good so we'll keep to your scales then."

So, another month of 10's. The hunger has gone and I am desperately trying hard to eat more of the right foods.

I have now switched to porridge in the mornings with soya milk, unsweetened stuff. I have tried one of these sachet things of Quacker flavoured oats but the soya milk makes it runny like water and is foal and also even though my stomach is smaller, just one sachet leaves me feeling hungry. 2 sachets is still way, way less than the Crunchy Oats were in calories.

Ah yes, I guess you want to know the weight. Well it's my good ole friend 26st 4lbs again. But hold on 26st 4lb in the middle of the week??????  This IS a first!

How did I achieve this? I had a little bit of a binge at the weekend, nothing too bad but just more food, which as it turns out is what I need to be eating.

So apart from the porridge I'm starting green tea - but real Chinese green tea which my Chinese friend has given me. When I go for a Chinese which is only when mum is on respite, I go through possibly 5 teapots full of green tea and I have NEVER put on after having a lovely but a bit too big Chinese!

Gonna start eating more eggs too. I don't have high cholestorol so trying more eggs for a month won't harm me and may show some good results.

I love brown rice and wholegrain bread but I cannot easily digest wholemeal or wholegrain pasta. My mum and brother have the same trouble with brown or wholegrain bread. So pasta will have to be sparce but occasional.

My BP at the docs was high - 160/90 but she didn't complain or say I was having a heart attack. I know this is because mum has had me up til the early hours a couple of times this week already, and that kciks my BP up. The doc could also see it's been good til today.

My doggies is in the wars. He's started barking and growling at a few of the care workers who come here, but the odd thing is is he knows them. His barking has got stupid when the odd few come here. Withothers not a dickie bird. So we've been to the vets to check out what we can do and they sold us a DAP - Dog Appeasing Pheromone diffuser. with some wipes of the same stuff. First time it happened he stopped barking within 15 seconds. However I put the diffuser on last night and he would not stop barking at one woman. They do say it takes time so we shall see.

Also, day before going to the vets to check this out, he did himself an injusry and has badly hurt his leg/back. He's on anti-inflammitrys and he's a little better but healing is slow.

On top of this, poor doggies also has a very bad ear infection. Although I am holding out some hope because he can sometimes hear certain things, the vet is pretty sure he is now deaf and only sensing sound waves as he doesn't often respond to my voice.

So that's a low point really. Poor ole chummy boy, still he is 11 and a half so he's getting on. Plus the walks are not so long this week.

Still sun is shining!

Not weighed this morning but have upped the weight in one of the excercises I am doing - so using the 1.5Kg dumbell in each hand.

I feel positive about these dumbells. I think that is why I was 26st 4lb so early in the week. Still next weigh-in is Saturday!

At the beginning of the week I was 26st 5lbs but this mornings weight in put me at 26st 2lbs!

Well done!
It's starting to come off again.  I am still sticking at the same this week which is doing my head in, but i have found it hard to diet with this cold weather.

And having people around at weekend doesn't help coz that always means wine and pizza!
