firstly hi Rachel, i'm wiping tears from my eyes at the thought of being naked in Boots. too funny. i weigh meself first thing in the morning before i even have a drink of water but after i've done a wee! it's the lightest i am all day! (and yes still in the nude) ANYWAY hi Moongoddess, how scary about your panic attack. good on you for how you managed it. i can so imagine your frustration with the scales. i'm having trouble enough that my doctors were weighing 2kg less than mine but now the same as mine so the doctor thinks i've lost 2 kgs less than i actually have - i mean what do i really care anyway. but still it irks. have you been measuring yourself? any success? how you going regardless of the damn scales??? I honestly dont know how you manage, caring for you mum and having the energy to look after yourself also. You amaze me. What about doing some some visualisation/affirmations before you go to sleep at night. Things like: * These tablets are working for me * The fat is melting off my body * my metabolism is increasing * I no longer have hunger pangs etc (whatever you feel like you need to hear)(although maybe you're not eating enough protein and that's why you've got hunger pains. maybe you are actually hungry!) and also visualise your body slimmer. and see yourself doing good habits such as drinking more water, eating healthy food etc. these are all things Jon Gabriel who i mentioned before says to do. i've been doing it for 12 weeks now and i'm sure it helps. (makes you feel good about yourself anyway!) take care cheers Geminigirl

Something isn't right. Yesterday I did miss dinner but had a naughty but nice egg and mayo sarnie just to have something in my tummy. Half way through the sandwich I felt my face and ears get burning hot. I went to bed still feeling this way. Also as I lay my head on the pillow my ears whooshed and started thumping. My BP has gone up. When I woke this morning my face was still flushed and hot and my ears whooshed as I got up. After about 2hrs it subsided and I felt ok. Earlier this evening I started getting the flushed face again and pressure behind my eyes and popping ears. I've had my dinner but it's still there. I feel really scared that I am about to have a heart attack as I feel so tired. The care workers said I didn't look terribly flushed but I looked very tired. I can live with dodgey scales and stuff, but this is horrible and I guess would proclude me from taking Reds. I have taken my BP several times today and mostly it is a little higher than my normal readings. Thing is, is I am so worn out from caring and so fed up being woken up most mornings and mum calling out til the early hours most nights. This sorta feels like when you are just about to go down with a cold or flu - y'know the hot face and cooler body. Plus now I've got a headache. I will be at the doctors tomorrow if things get worse.

honey i just read your post. i hope you are ok. I think you need to get checked out by a GP as soon as you can, its ok to ask for help with your mom. Call your doctor and explain your situation. I hope you are ok and thats its just a bug you have or something, but its best to be safe. Please let us know how you get on. x Ali

Well no rest for the wicked! I feel like I should be in bed but I've had to be up to let the care workers in to get mum ready and then I took her to the van. I now have a complete bed change of washing to do and a dental appt at 12. Then I have to take my car 12 miles away to the mechanic and get my bro to bring me home. Last night I slept like a baby for about 10hrs. This morning I've woken up with a slightly snotty nose and gunky throat. Seems like I have a bug. The headache is hovering around too. The BP was a lot lower just before bed last night. Just checked BP now and it's back to normal, infact a little lower than normal. If anything changes over the weekend I'll go to the docs or A&E but as the BP has reduced and all the signs are I've got a bug - which this mornings care workers tell me a cold is going round - then no need to worry. I've never suffered with high blood pressure, so it was a little scary yesterday.

Well the bug came to nothing but my BP has gone down and stayed down since Saturday so I think it was a blip. This week is deffo my "time of the month" as again, as last month, I've put on 7lbs overnight! Good ole water retention. Had two Tescos pizzas at the weekend. No, not both together lol. They are the first sort of processed food I've had in 9 weeks. Nice but I felt very guilty afterwards! Must do more exercise.

OK so I now feel like I've gone completely backwards! I bought several tops from Evans mail order last week as it was 20% off. They arrived today. One top is nice but requires a size 32 person not to wear a bra and is too short! That can go back. Another is a nice size 30 blouse which I have to say looked longer on the website and is too short. It wouldn't even go over my boobs! I have a secret suspicion it's a size 24 in disguise! A t-shirt at size 30/32 fits pretty well considering it's an inbetween size - not terribly long but ok-ish. A size 32 top which is too tight and too short which is about normal for Evans! And two cardis which will suffice! Everything seems too tight on me again and it's very disheartening when you have lost weight for clothes to still be too tight or a struggle to buy. I am very stagnent on the reds now. I've not actually shown a loss for 2 weeks and am extremely tired. Being this size, I also don't have endless energy to step up the excercise - I'll give myself a heart attack. I know it's only two months on the reds but I seem to be having as much trouble with clothes fitting as I did at 28 stones. Mum goes to respite for 12 days on Thursday which is a blessing. No bloomin' care workers bundling through the house and no running after mum and getting proper sleep! *is down today*
