hey mummyG
don't stress.  look at it over the whole time you've been on the reds. you're doing so well. a one pound gain is nothing. as long as it's not a trend, a backwards week is nothing. just have a good week this week and it'll be ok.
cheers geminigirl

Hi ratty17, Reds is short for Reductil.

Hi geminigirl

That pound is neither here nor there really. I can lose and gain that, and more, in a day. I also find that if I have slipped up, I gain water weight from the salt that is in all those foods. I can taste the salt that's even in the sweet stuff. Amazing how sensitive your palate can become to that taste.

A few days off the rails is nothing to get yourself upset about. You are aware of how bad it makes you feel afterwards, and every time you slip up, you can reinforce the feelings you have that it wasn't worth it. Behaviour modification! Hey, I am on round ????? (who knows!)of my modification. I am a slow learner obviously.

Look at the long term view, you are living your real life and not some weirdly skewed diet life that will come crashing down on you. In that real life you are going to want different foods at different times. It is knowing when and how to pull back and get on track again that will get you through.

You are doing a brilliant job and try to focus on all the good things you have done, not on those very few, less than sensible things. (I got those words of wisdom from my 12.5 year old daughter once, when I was stressing about everything!)

Have a wonderful weekend
Sue

Thanks everyone for your words of support!!

Last night in bed I was thinking about my weight being so up and down and have decided that I have to stay off the scales and only go on once a week.  I started my reds on Monday 4th August, so today is the first day of my 7th week, therefor I decided that Monday should really have always have been my weigh in day, no matter what the scales say on a Monday that will be my weight till the following Monday!!

And I have to say I got a lovely surprise - I am 11st 8lbs this morning - and this will stay my weight till next Monday and then I'll weigh myself then!!  NO MORE JUMPING ON AND OFF THE SCALES EVERY COUPLE OF DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again thanks for your encouragement and words of wisdom xxx

Well done Sharon for such a good weightloss and you too geminigirl.  It's great to get into that next stone down isn't it, so keep on in there.

I notice too that I can not lose any weight then hey presto the next day I lose 2lbs or something, very weird!  Sharon, I think you're very brave to put your tummy on your pics - mine looks like that too - I am hoping that one day the overhang will be hardly anything!! Did you have a cesarian with your kids?  I did with one of mine (my 18 year old!!) so I find no matter how much exercise I am doing, it's slow to come off that area!

Forever positive and hopeful
