Hi,
I was given xenical to try last friday i had been on redustil for abuot 2 months but i actually gained weigh even though iw as folowing ww with them so the dr took me off them and prescribed me these instead.
i have not yet taken one simply because i did the worse thing ever and googled it. now im scared that im gonna have a leaking bum or get caught short of needing the toilet or die of abdominal pains!!
then i came across this forum and you all seem very supportive. i just want to know is it are all the above true. and do you have any hints on how to make it work to its best. or is there anything i should watch out for.
i have about 3 stone too loose have been doing ww for what seems forever.
Any help willbe much appreciated

hey welcome to the forum ....
yes it all true!!!! but dont worry they will ONLY happen if you do not usedthe tablets in the correct way ..eg .. eat burger chips pizza fatty crappy foods you will experience the horendous side effects..
eat a sensible very low fat diet and you should experience nothing only thing u might experience to start with is bloating, constipation and wind lol ..
please dont let the horror stories put u off these tablets ..

hi fudgie,i am quite new,i was on the reds board for a short time. but i had to stop them! there doesn't seem the same support on here,only you, in the main! is ot ok to drink whiskey,fudgie? only i do enjoy a tipple at night! and i do love the odd choc ice! lol will this make me go? starting the pills on monday night!

I had to stop Reds too due to high BP...
Me and Cassie are both Xenical Virgins... I started on Friday... cheated yesterday by having bbq food and not bothering with the tablet..
But on it properly today
Keep us posted with your progress
I started on Reds at 16st 4 at the very end of April
I am now 15st 4 (after piling on a few lbs on holiday last week!!)
So hoping for a 3 to 4 lbs loss by next Monday - fingers crossed!!

hello again!
its not been too bad... i left u a message a bit further down the boards...
i cheated a bit by not taking the tablets yesterday when i ate bbq food...
but back on it today and feeling ok - got a bit of wind tho!
not sure the choc ice is a great idea... but the whiskey should be ok!!

I too am new to Xenical, although it stayed in my bag for a couple of days after reading the horror stories put on the net! So, day 2 and so far no side effects to speak of. I did sleep fitfully but I'm not sure if that's not because I went to bed hoping I wouldn't have a nasty accident in the night, despite eating a meal with almost no fat in it at all. Talk about paranoid!! Oh, there has been one thing. Has anyone had indigestion after taking the tablet?

Hello there!
I want to lose about 4 stones, fingers crossed. Do you know a good website/book where I can get some decent low fat recipes? My family are fairly healthy (my problems stem from portion control and a love of cheese!) and I don't want to have to cook three different meals every day.

I am excatly the same - I moved in with my boyfriend last year and for the 2 of us we would make enough dinner for 4 then eat it!
One reason why I piled weight on...
Don't really know any websites but I'm sure you could google it and come up with some good results
I started my weight loss on Reductil which has helped me realise how little I need to eat to feel full so thats worked out ok for me...
Fingers crossed...
I have around 4 stone (maybe more) to lose too!
