Hi guys and girls... I am a newbie to these boards - have been taking Reductil for a while but had to stop due to high BP... So now I have a pack of Xenical to try... Before I start - I have a few questions for the expects that have been taking it a while - the leaflet in the box doesn't give much info! So here goes... What sort of things can you eat...? For example - could I eat one square of chocolate or a scoop of icecream without side effects? How does Xenical react with alcohol? Thats all I can think of right now... I am going to start to take them over the weekend when I am at home incase of any toilet issues! Any help and advice would be most appreciated! xx

Hi Cassie, Yes - we will definitely keep in touch then... I have about 4 - 5 stone still left to lose - having lost over a stone on Reds I eat a pretty good diet anyway - just I know I like to have my little treats of a bit of choc or a bit of ice cream sometimes so I don't really want to have to cut it out completely - but if it means bad side effects I would do!! One more question was about taking a multi vitamin - does everyone do that? I read it on a site somewhere but it doesnt mention it in the leaflet in the pack... When are you taking your first tablet Cassie? I am going to do it on Saturday! Where are you from, age etc? I am from Leicestershire, I am 25 - work in a job that I hate which means sitting down all day which doesn't help. I have started horse riding since starting my weight loss journey and really enjoying that (its such a good work out!!) and also try to go swimming at least twice a week... What about you?

Good luck then Cassie - if you have a dog at least you have a good excuse to get out and take it for nice long walks... I miss having a dog so much! I started last night in the end... took my tablet after my chicken breast salad and low fat yoghurt... This morning I have had a cappucino (semi skimmed milk), grapefruit and a small choc covered tea cake (79 cals 1.5g sat fat) I have just taken my tablet now... I bought some weetabix mini's to work - might have them for lunch instead... Lets see how it goes! Keep in touch x
