Hi Guys

I'm new to all this although I have been looking through past posts and am so impressed with the encouragement you all give each other!
Basically I got my tablets today and have just taken the first one! Needless to say I'm pretty nervous, but I thought the sooner I start the sooner I'll know how my body reacts with them!

But anyway thought I would just make myself known and hopefully I'll have a success story to tell soon like everyone else!
Fingers crossed x

Hi Bereka

Welcome to the forum

How much weight do you have to lose?
Do you have any plans on how you are going to do it?
I have found Xenical much harder to get my head round than when I took Reductil!

I'm 25 from Leicestershire and I have between 4 and 5 stone left to lose... I've lost one so far!

You should be fine as long as you don't eat anything majorly high in fat - as per my other posts, avoid cheese like the plague!!!
If you eat within your calorie and fat intake for each meal you will be fine...
:o)

Keep us posted
x

Hi

Thanks, I've got an initial goal of about 3-4 stone, but in health terms its more like 6-7 lol
(Congrats on your loss!!)

I'm not really sure how I'm going to go about it yet, I hate gyms with a passion so am going to have to find some other way to get my exercise!

I'm 21 from Leeds, I took my second tablet with breakfast this morning and things are going great so far, so I'm feeling a little more relaxed!

But sad about the cheese thing lol I can eat it like its going out of fashion! Have you tried Half-Fat Cheese? Not sure whether to try that.

Oh well you and me both are in it for the long haul then! :o)

Yeah - I love cheese too so I am a bit gutted about it but after the effect it had on me at the weekend I can live without it for now!
Might try 1/2 fat kind when I feel brave enough but its generally a bit crap and it doesn't melt...

what have you eaten today?
I am having a good day so far with no effects...

Melon, Strawberries and weetabix with S Skim milk for brekkie and a s. skim cappucino

Tuna salad with low fat mayo, a boiled egg and a french fancy for lunch

then going to a bbq tonight so that could spell disaster but I'll just avoid burgers and opt for a piece of steak and a bit of chicken and a big salad... shoudl be ok with that!

I have started horse riding and swimming since starting to lose weight and enjoy them both loads... its not just the gym - try and go for a walk and just walk a bit faster than you would usually - it all helps!

Yeah it's going to take us a while but it will be worth it in the end.

I haven't had any lunch as yet, I'm trying to make my meals a bit later in the day so that I don't feel as hungry in the evening (which is when I'm worse for snacking!)
But I had Bite size Shredded wheat with Semi-Skimmed milk and an apple for breakfast and am thinking a bowl of soup for lunch! so boring lol

I'm also trying to only drink water! and if I'm feeling a little peckish then I'll have some water as sometimes its actually thirst and not hunger.

I'm hungry but I'm not starving so maybe cutting the portions isn't going to be too bad!

I am trying to walk a bit more, but I have to be careful as i have dislocated my knee twice so don't want to push that too far but overall I'm feeling quite positive now!
