Haven't been on here in a long while and have noticed that alot of people are taking Xenical when they've had a meal with only a couple of grams of fat in. There is no point in you taking Xenical if you are eating a pretty much fat free diet all you are doing is wasting your money, the tablets need a source of fat in order to work so using them when you've eaten none is pointless. Another reason behind lack of weight loss could be that the body is going into "starvation mode" basically this is when the body is not getting enough fat intake to function so what it does is store the slightest bit of fat intake it gets until it gets that correct amount again. It probably sounds like I'm nagging but I just don't see the point in spending money on expensive tablets if you are not going to use them properly. I have found in my experience of taking Xenical which has been for well over a year now(having the odd month off for holidays, xmas etc) that the tablets and body only work together if the instructions are followed properly and tablets are only used when there is a need.
Totally agree with what u r saying.... my doctor explained to me ( as i get these tablets on prescription) that i must not exceed 15 grams of fat per meal three times a day, if i eat less fat than that then there is no point in taking them. I have also read somewhere that u should stick to the 5 grams of fat per 100 grams of that product. Also u need to exercise as well.... school run and looking after a 17mth old is enough for me lol.......
they worked for me last year when i eat helthy too, i was following weight watchers and loosing about 1-2lb a week, eating very healthy and needed a boots after a while, then i started on them and even taking them after say weetabix and salad for lunch ect, i still loosed more weight, this is cause ALL food contains some form of fat, unless its fat free yoghurt or something! i then lost about 3-4lb a week, eating the same as i was the weeks before, which was all low fat foods. my dr said they will work on low fat foods, and if you take them still eating the same fat as you did before, you will loose weight, but then your not changing eating habbits and when you come off them you will still be eating fat and gain the weight back. i managed to keep mine off for a year until my son got ill and i got ill with depression, now 2 yrs later i am going back on them. i think all drs have there own different opinions, and with them been a dr we tend to believe them.lol. good luck and do what you feel works for you xxx
