Hi, Ive just joined this forum.  Ive been taking xenical now for 2mths and only lost 2lbs.  I asked the doctor for xenical so he couldnt give me any info about what to eat or avoid.  would be grateful if ppl could give me an idea of a typical day menu to them.

Thanks in advance.

I got this from the UKmedix website in the news section for you.  Go and have a look around for yourself, it will give you all the info you need to drop those pounds!

Ukmedix can supply the drug Xenical which is a popular medication for people who suffer from obesity and come into specific weight and height categories. The way that Xenical works is that it blocks a quantity of the fat that is consumed from being absorbed from your intenstines and then the fat that is not absorbed is discharged in bowel movements. Xenical doesn't mean that you can consume as much as you want and should only be administered in conjunction with a low fat and low calorie diet.

Xenical is not for all obese people as some people react badly to it. For example anyone with problems absorbing food, with gallbladder problems or who is pregnant and breastfeeding must stay away from Xenical use. The Xenical puts a strain on the kidneys too so if you have kidney issues tell your doctor first.

When using Xenical try to limit your intake of fat and try to eat three meals daily with the same amount of fat and calories. It is a good idea to take certain vitamins and supplements when using Xenical as it can lower the absorption of vitamins and beta carotene. When using Xenical, use multivitamin supplements with vitamins D,E and K as well as beta carotene.

Be certain to tell your doctor about any other medicines that you are using especially if you are using cyclosporine. For diabetics it is important to know that Xenical can have an effect on blood sugar control and so you need to get regular check ups.

There are some side effects associated with Xenical, on the whole there are not very harmful but just a bit unpleasant. They include the sudden desire to have a bowel movement, oily stools and discharge as well as bowel movements more frequently. In some cases patients have reported that they were unable to control their bowel movement.
