Hello everyone; my dr prescribed xenical and am on day 3, far so good m thinks; however, the dr didnt give me any advice, just said read the manual! I desperately need to know how the fat intake works; I've read lots of threads about not having high fat content food or the side effects reward you; however at the moment I have significantly reduced my intake and am basing on my previous knowledge of weight watchers, not counting points or calories, just eating much more sensibly and sticking to low fat food or fat with not higher than 4g or fat per 100g of food. Before start the pills i had terrible reflux and had pills for that too so my appetite was very distance but I feel that I am not eating enough. I really want this to work and am very motivated about eating healthy; I haven't even had a craving for a glass of wine for 3 day which is not like me at all! LOL
So fellow xenical friends, please can you share with me your advice on the fat thingy as I am concerned I am not eating enough, I also read on forums of 15g of fat per meal.. what if I don't eat this much...
I so looking forward to your reply....I have read many websites and this one seems real friendly.
I have been taking xenical since end of may and have lost just under 3st. It works if followed correctly. I have only had one unpleasant experience after eating indian food. I would recommend getting the Alli book - thats what I used to work out my calories and fat.The forum on that website is very helpful. If you go back to posts from last year by Tamar Gran she was very knowledgeable.I was taking in around 1600 cals per day and roughly 15g fat per meal. I tried following weight watchers for the 1st month and lost only 2lbs. The book will explain everything and give you some ideas of foods to eat. Basically you have to balance your cals and fat. Its really easy when you get used to it. I also go to the gym 4/5 times per week which helps. I've only another half stone to lose and then I'll be happy with my weight. Any other questions just shout!! Good luck.
