hey peeps

What kind of things are you doing at the gym? If its
just cardio workouts, then that probably why your
seeing as good results as you did before.
You need to do 2 cardio workouts a week and the rest
needs to be resistance training, it helps get rid of
stored fat and build muscle mass- which means you raise
your metabolic rate(the rate your body burns calories).
Hope that helps!

Fiona, do you think it would be ok to buy some weights and do them at
home? What would you recommend? Thanks,
WA

hey peeps
Whittle- I just saw this and id responded in the other room....yes of course get yourself some dumbells for home use! If the gym isnt your thing, then brilliant to do it at home. I train all my clients in their homes, and there is not a piece of gym equipment in sight!
Id go for either a set of 4 or 5kg, as then you can use them for legs, back, chest, core etc...and they will be heavy enough to do both high and lower repetitions.
Theres also a good site for workouts, ultrafit magazine...find them on search engine - they do a work out of the week...it changes every Monday!
Hope that helps and good luck!

PS...you could also get yourself a skipping rope to warm up and do cardio...great fun and really hard work! Just make sure you've no back or knee injuries
