I have been so good with my fat intake on xenical out of sheer terror. But I don't think I can continue on for much longer. I am dreaming about cakes and biscuits and doughnuts and pastries. I can't bear going past a bakery. I don't think I can't last much longer. Yes, I've lost weight, but I'm afraid that I'm starting to go crazy, thinking about food all the time! Are there any bakery things that I can eat on this to satisfy these cravings. Do any fat free foods work or not? If yes, can anyone recommend me a brand? I'm becoming desperate! WA

Whittle! You are not crazy! you are a normal woman who loves her sugar and pastries... that is why we need to diet and need a helping hand. You need to be strong or face a horror in your pants... sorry to be crude but maybe you need to have a wee accident in order to never go back... do you see what I mean? I am looking out for you, I know you have been through a divorce and if you can get through that... you CAN get through this, everything passes. Your cravings will pass.. Have a teaspoon of honey? Take Chromium to decrease your sweet cravings... I hope this helps and KEEP GOING! xx Issy

hello Whittleaway - have a look in the diet forum, a lady called Fiona posted a 'healthy cookie recipe' the other day, and I had a go at making them. They are delicious and you can control the amount of sugar etc you put into them. I actually didnt add any sugar, but added in more cinnamon and more apple sauce and stewed apple pieces for sweetness - they are lovely! I have one with afternoon tea and it fulfills my cravings for biscuits etc. Good luck and remember that your not alone, we are all here. judith

Thank you so much to all of your for your support. I am still finding it very difficult, but I have just forced myself to battle on. I was invited out for a birthday drink the other day, and we ended up all going for an Indian meal. I scoured the menu, and couldn't see anything that I could eat - it all seemed so greasy. I ordered an undressed salad! My friends were quite shocked, but like you very supportive. When I look in the mirror, I certainly feel better about myself, inside and outside. I see the 'old' me, before I married, and when I was thinner. She's in there! That is what keeps me going. But, please - let's keep the recipes going! Or if anyone hears of an easier, effective way to lose weight - please let me know! p.s On the plus side - I'm able to get to sleep more easily. I was having problems before, which was making me quite weepy! WA
