I had never take Xenical, but I heard it is great to lose weight. I was just thinking that it would be a good idea for my girlfriend d to take xenical as a supporting medication, so she can loss the extra pounds. Does xenical really works and if so, how long should she take it for…also, what kind of side effects can xenical give to girls.

James: Xenical is not just prescribed for women - it also is used for men to help get their weight down but does take some effort. It strikes me that you may be the one who needs it.

Hi James, I'm back on xenical. I was on it earlier this year and it does give good results. She - or you - just needs to pay attention to the amount of fat in the diet. You'll most likely get oily spotting and oily stools. But this really can be controlled if you stick to a low fat diet. xenical decreases the absorption of fat into your body - which is amazing, and the weight does come off - but if you're putting fat into your body, its got to come out! Once you've worked out what you should and shouldnt eat, it shouldn't have any effects. I've started taking them again and I haven't noticed any side effects at all this time. WA

Personally, I found that I really did lose weight with xenical the first time round. That's why I'm back on them again. It's definitely coming off still. I'm averaging about 2 lbs a week at the moment. I didnt try Alli, but I would imagine that xenical is probably more effective.

Thank you all so much for your replies, I am not going to lie. I have some extra pounds to lose as well! I did my homework on xenical and I found out that it really works so my girlfriend and I decided to take it together. Initially we were going to use alli but it would’ve be more expensive because to get the same results as xenical we would have to take double dose… we weren’t comfortable with that. Thanks a lot and I will keep you guys updated. = )

Humm! Thanks Sallie09, I had no idea about that. I’m sure that any multivitamin would be good but do you recommend any specific brand or any especial combinations of vitamins? I work standing up for almost 6 hours straight and I definitely need my body to function correctly. Thanks

I try to get all my vits by eating fresh healthy foods - lots of colourful vegetables. I havent noticed any hair falling out, but that does worry me. Perhaps I should take a multivitamin too. How long did you take xenical for Sallie and are you taking any weight loss pills now? WA
