Hi all,
i just started Xenical yesterday and haven't noticed anything unusual yet (BM wise).i am just wondering if i am eating too little fat and too much carb.i have been on the slimming world diet for a year now and has adapted my lifestyle to it. i dont eat much fat, always been very cautious about the fat content on food packets. now im just wondering if my problem is eating too much carb. i eat rice, pasta, baked or boiled potatoes(unlimited) according to the slimming world diet. im just wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to what changes i should do. im just guessing maybe i should up my fat intake and reduce carb intake? wot do u think?

Hi Jasbhir,

I would not worry about not having any side effects just yet, although did just the same when I started 6 days ago! Things have kicked in now, but nothing of a uncontrollable nature and not bright orange as I have been reading in other messages.

Have not tried S World myself so unsure if you are having too many carbs, but if you are on a low fat diet I would personnaly stick with it a few weeks and see how you go.

If in doubt speak to your Gp or Map with the freephone helpline.

How did you get on with S World? Have you much more to loose? I will being doing a progress weigh on wed/thu.

Good luck, and speak to you soon

Try replacing some of your carbs with lean protein.  for example salmon or tuna, that's what I eat a lot.  I'm not naturally a carb freak so I can easily eliminate the excess from my diet.

Hi All,

So far think am getting on ok, although a tad obesive, I will weigh myself each morning. As others have said, its just to prove to myself that somehow the weight has not jumped back on in the night.

I am not really following any specific diet, just trying to eat a variety with fruit and veg ect. To start me off bought a weeks worth of ready meals as could not deal with the hassel of planning meals for hubby, children and me!

Prior to taking Xenical I followed the Food Doctor Diet, which worked really well. Don't ask me why did not continue, I think deep down I did not believe I will ever be at a goal weight. Might try combination of two once got the hang of it all.

Same old story, got heavier and heavier after the children were born, and feel enough is enough!!!!!

Hi HeidiT, I like the Ticker, think the scales should give us the incentive

Hi
Have to agree with Heidi, have gradually cut my carbs down and upped my protein a lot and lately my fat intake by a little. This was a conscious decision and at first difficult, however now I hardly ever crave carbs they make me feel bloated, if anything its fats I crave which the xenical helps me deal with. I am not saying this is suitable for everyone but for me it seems to be working.
Very best of luck Jasbhir and Meemie. (Oh and love the ticker Heidi, very psychedelic)
