WOW ! you really are an inspiration to all who are taking xenical. I fortunately only need to loose about 3stone but, to me this is a huge challenge as I suffer an underactive thyroid which I believe slows down your metabolism. I have my first monthly check tomorrow so after 4 weeks I hope I have lost a good amount. My bathroom scales say about 1stone but I don't trust the scales so will see if my GP is happy tomorrow.

Congratulations on your weight loss it is a brilliant achievement.

Hi I am from the Reductil forum, but just wanted to post my huge congrats to you hun, can I ask did you suffer at all in any stage from the horrendous anal leakage (sorry tmi) did you have to keep your diet completely fat free or have bad consiquences? I only managed about a month on X as I had terrible time with toilet dashing.  Also as someone who has a bit of an addiction to diet coke/coke zero/pepsi max did you find that by cutting it out completely it stopped your cravins for other bad things? because I have noticed that when I dont drink it I have much better eating control and willpower.

thankyou so much mumof2 for sharing all your experiences with us,like i said you really have given me the insentive to really go for it now.
I've been on xenical for about 6 weeks and although i lost 4 kgs, i had a massive blow out at the weekend and i paid for it.The oil was horrendous, the stomach pains omg i dont want that again. Also i stepped on the scales and have put on about 4lbs.so i'm feeling really unmotivated at the moment until i came on here and read your post.you should be so proud of yourself, you obviously worked really hard to get where you did and i now want to do the same.
this site doesnt have that many people posting but i'm so glad you did i think there are other people on here that feel the same as i do.
i just cant get over your photos.
any other hints and tips would be greatly received.

hope you got on ok at the doctors and good luck not that you need it,your the pro at this xenical thing!!

thanks again X

The soup recipies sound fab, im such a bad cook, thankfully i live on my own so i have nobody to impress!! lol   My bf is a great cook, so he knows my kitchen better than me, sure we are together 5 yrs and im promoising him all these years ill make him an omlette coz its the only thing im good at, and i still havent done it for him!! What a bad wife im going to make     I make omlettes now with only one egg yolk and lots of peppers and a slice of ham. I tried avonmore light cheese but its disguisting!! lolo the recipe i gave for soup is one of the easiest soups to make,as most of it comes out of tins, the only thing you have to chop is the celery and onion, when all ingredients are in pan cover with water, bring to boil then add 2 orginal oxos and 1 veg oxo simmer for 1½ hours,if you dont like beans add some other veg, this soup really does help to lose weight.
heres another soup
butternut squash cut into chunks (you can buy this already chopped up at Asda)
small onion finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic crushed
1 vegetable oxo cube
Nutmeg

1. Gently fry the onion and garlic in a little bit of oil (I use fry light spray) for a few minutes until the onion is soft and transparent (don't let it go brown)
2. Put the onions, garlic and squash in a large saucepan and cover with stock made from vege oxo cube.
3. Bring to the boil, season with salt and black pepper and simmer until the squash has gone soft (about 20 mins)
4.  Add some ground nutmeg then blend until the soup is smooth
