has anyone seen these vibram shoes? or feet? they are like barefoot workout shoes?? My captain at my rowing club wears them and they look crazy! but hear they allow your body to work harder as you arent getting support from cushioned soles.. Any thoughts out there?? Issy xx

Never heard of them! is this the new craze? I'm always the last to find out about these things. Are they like the MBT shoes? WA

they dont tone... they are for hard core fitness people who want to make their body work harder in each exercise... so the shoes which are shaped like feet, are simply a sole so you dont hurt your feet, so it's like how the cave men used to be so your body has to work harder to run/do weights etc. You have to break them in slowly or you could damage your shins or something... a bit too hard core for me but just wondering if people have seen them around.. Are they a bit like those socks with toes? They don't sound like they offer much support, but I suppose that's the point - that you have to work harder? Are you only supposed to wear them in a gym? You'd probably look very silly walking down the street in them! I still haven't got round to getting a pair of fit flops. Next summer maybe! People I know who have them say they are so comfortable. I have heard they are comfortable and yes they look like socks with toe bits. They are supposed to make you work harder. I have seen a chap in the gym wear them and he was saying how you have to break them in... or you could injur yourself by over using them and not giving your body time to adapt. I am not sure my 'athletic' body needs them yet!! haha Issy x
