Anyone would have thought that the two are mutually exclusive but no - a man in chicago has trained for the marathon eating a mcdonalds only diet. And he doesnt look fat - which is interesting. He usually starts the day with a plate of hot cakes, an Egg McMuffin and an orange juice. He eats a grilled chicken sandwich for lunch, washed down with a large Coke, then enjoys a hamburger and fries for dinner, with cookies for desert. His only deviation from the McDonald's menu is a daily multivitamin, tap water, and an energy gel he takes while on the road. He calls himself the McRunner - and amazingly, hasnt been sued yet.

And in more McDonalds new - sorry, I dont eat it anymore so I live vicariously through others - Happy meals are about to get healthier. McDonald's announced that all happy meals will have both fruit and fries starting in September. Customers will no longer have the option, but instead get both. The french fries will be served in smaller portions, too. Customers can get all fries or all apples if they ask. McDonald's is also launching a nutrition–focused mobile phone application aswell. Maybe the golden arches arent so evil after all??

yes, and they have made their 'restaurants' brown and green - colours I think they think we associate with being more healthy, nutritious and organic? I just read the story about the runner - and he ate mcDonalds for 30 days, and managed to beat his personal best at the marathon. It's quite amazing! WA

Just thinking about the other post on here about blood pressure, I'm amazed he didn't have any problems from all the salt he was ingesting. McD's is loaded with salt.
