Hi All, I was wondering if there are any cyclists out there to give me tips and advice. In 3 months i am doing 150 mile bike ride over 3 days and really lacking motivation and excitement. i'm still slightly over weight. Do you do any other exercise to help painful knee's any help with be greatly appreciated.

cod liver oil i hear is good for the joints.

I'm a cyclist and I don't know about motivation but as regards sore knees it's better for your knees to use a lower gear and pedal faster than to use a higher gear and pedal slowly. I guess if you want motivation you could do some shorter rides with other people doing this 150 mile ride to work up to it.
