Does anyone know the science behind the ED drugs that are sold here? Im finally going to try something, but not sure which one to choose. Are they chemically different or is it just branding? Cheers, P.

Hi mate, I did a lot of research into this a while ago, and ended up using Cialis. Basically, the three approved drugs are Viagra, Cialis and Levitra and they work by increasing the flow of blood into the penis so that when a man is sexually stimulated, he can get an erection. They all pretty much work in the same way... but there are subtle differences in the effect that they each have. Levitra works a little longer than Viagra but they both take effect in about 30 minutes. With Levitra, the effects last for about 5 hours. With Viagra, the effects last approximately 4 hours. Cialis gets you going faster (within about 15 minutes), and the effects last much longer -- up to 36 hours for some people. That's why I chose it and its worked great for me.

No - you've got to be stimulated to get an erection, mate. But when you've got one it stays up for ages - like 2 hours. I found it really hard to ejaculate on Viagra, but it had a much smaller window of use. Viagra can also be effected by food. So I tried Cialis and that worked for me. But it works when you need it to - so don't worry about having embarrassing erections walking down the street.

hello these posts have been so very informative. I too suffer with ed and am looking at which would be better suited for me, do you know whether you can mix between all three and is it safe to do so? are there any side effects in mixing between them and do you know whether they are addictive or not? I have used both intermittently, but I've heard you're not supposed to as they lower your blood pressure, which is fine, but if you add something else into the mix which lowers blood pressure it can be dangerous. I'm young and healthy, so its never been a problem for me. But I'm not a doctor, so maybe get some professional advice. Or try the two - but with big gaps in between...

when I first considered taking an ED medication I was also worried that I would have an erection when i didn;t want one. It is pretty common to think that you would and you don;t know until you try it. Once you do get a hold of them... you feel so much more at ease. This forum has really helped me and back me up in a lot of ways. DT

hello I agree with DT, this forum really has been useful in giving good honest advice. Nobody seems shy on here of asking any questions and people seem to respond with real answers. I have finally purchased my Viagra and am looking forward to trying it out this weekend, looks like Valentines is going to be one of the best for a good many years! Although I must remember to not drink too much and render the pill useless! Enjoy all and keep posting, its so inspiring to know there are plenty of men out here dealing with ed. DP
