if women complimented us on our performance more, we wouldnt have so many men with ED. Sex ed needs to tell women this.

Yup, I think that's true. Certainly the gentlemanly thing is to do what you do well and not expect praise and compliments. But often women think that we're all arrogant pricks who dont need to have our egos inflated anymore than they are. Often we act arrogant when we feel precisely the opposite - I don't want to say vulnerable, because that makes me sound weak, but I guess it is true. Encouragement during sex should be coming from both sides, frequently. But most importantly it should be genuine. Fake compliments are useless and ultimately destructive.

The ability to get an erection is part of masculinity--according to cultural beliefs. That is unfortunate because it leaves many men with ED feeling less than a man, which is simply ridiculous. Who chooses to have ED? A strong man will realize that he is not inadequate or deficient or somehow not living up to his role as a man in a sexual relationship. Instead, he will focus on the needs of his partner and if she is fine with him, then he should feel lucky to have a woman who is truly interested in him in his entirety and tells him so regularly.
