so i was talking about curries in another thread, and thought i would look it up so we can have a guidline - I know different takeaways have different qualntities but here you go: Chicken tikka masala - 680 calories – and that's before you add pilau rice, which contains around 280 calories per portion. if you have naan bread it is about 400 calories per 100g and then poppadoms - easily over 280 calories per 100g... I mean it's A LOT! especially at the end of an day. I dont know how I didnt know. Seeing it in black and white makes me think twice... Issy x

Which is the best curry to order? Would it be the tandoor chicken I'm guessing? Its quite a popular restaurant choice for friends with birthdays so it would be good to know the best options on the menu so we can all order with confidence without making a fuss!

when i do go to a curry house - i usually order a tandoori mixed grill so it's just meat and a saag aloo or something... that is when i am being good. Will try and work out calories and post it up here. Def stay away from the naan! Issy x

p.s. a tandoori chicken breast is about 260 calores. Not so low but it is a rough guidline. Will try and get specifics. Issy x
