I've started a ten day detox to really give Xenical a boost. You eat just raw veg and no caffeine on day one, day 2 and 3 you can only eat one type of fruit out of apples, grapes, pineapple, watermelon or mango and then days 4 - 8 its fruit in the morning, veg in the afternoon with nuts and seeds, then 9 and 10 you can add some skinless protein in the evening. I'm on Day 2 - only mangoes, hence my other post about the African mangoes. Unfortunately the ones I've got aren't specifically those. But so far I feel a little dizzy and lightheaded, which the detox says will happen. Tomorrow I'm only eating pineapple. The two fruit only days are supposed to act like a 'broom' as it acts as a mild laxative and is alkaline forming. It says that alot of the waste we carry inside - up to 4.5kg of it - are acidic. The alkaline from the fruit helps to neutralise them and then they are more quickly expelled through the blood stream. I hope! WA

I went to sleep last night feeling very hungry indeed, but when I woke up this morning I didn't feel hungry for a long time. So I decided not to start eating pineapple until the last possible moment. I've also been having some herbal tea with fresh lemon first thing in the morning which is to cleanse the system. But at lunch time I was so hungry I caved in and had a few raw vegetables. Ridiculous that I could actually be chastising myself for having vegetables! But I am feel lighter (and a bit light headed) I'm still taking my xenical at the same time, which of course is fine as there is no fat in this detox.

Hi sasha, I replied to your other post about xenical. If you do decide to go with xenical, I think just focus on that. There's no need to do a detox at the same time. I've been taking xenical for a long while now - came off it for a while, and am now back on. So that's why I wanted a kick start. But if you've never even tried it before, I think taking the pill and managing your new low fat food consumption is going to be enough to focus on. WA

I only made it to day 5. But the weekend I was so desperate from protein and carbs. I had lots of toast for both breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday. I caved in at the bakery section in Sainsburys! I have such a yo yo personality its awful. But still, no fat because of the xenical. Anyway, I have lost 3lbs so I'm happy, but I dont think I did my body much good last week. The headaches and nausea were awful. It didnt feel like the pain was doing me good - I think my body was complaining rather than being 'cleansed'.

Hiya , surely if you were eating just fruit you'd have a quick weight loss anyway ., but I thought you had to eat some fat for the xenical pill to work ?

Hi Nuala, I come on here from time to time to see if there's anything new and have answered your other question but you probably won't get any replies from this forum because the last post if you notice from Whittleaway was on the 1st of August 2011 and she doesn't post anymore but was the 'expert' on Xenical but she wasn't talking about Xenical here, it was about the detox she did to give her a kick start.

Hi Nuala, yes the thread you are following is old and you won't get any response unless like me people drop in from time to time. See the Xenical forum where I've replied to you. Yes you do have to eat approx 15g of fat at each meal for the pills to work and skip them if your meal is fat free. Whittleaway was detoxing but she didn't need to take Xenical too as she wasn't eating any fat for those five days, she probably didn't realise, we all do desperate things sometimes ! Hi Cheekymonkey long time no hear ! what are you doing now ?
If at first you don't succeed........
