Hi there, Has anyone used any shampoos specific to thinning or balding like Folligen Therapy Shampoo and if so, do they work? just wondering if I could use one alongside using propecia? Vinny

The only hairloss shampoo is called Rogain. I stopped using them once I started with Propecia becuase I saw results. make sure you look into them first and don't get your money wasted. Also be carefull if you have sensitive skin! Joe

Mate, I decided to give the shampoos a miss cos I am already spending money on propecia so as it is working i don't need to waste money on shampoos. Thanks for your input though. Vinny

a friend of mine used to buy hair loss shampoos and he spent a fortune on them and supplements. Nothing worked for him except propecia.

I'm using Australian Organics shampoo - that has natural ingredients in it and no harmful chemicals. It's £4.99 from the health food shop, give that a try. I'm also using propecia.

Chemicals coming to contact with your hair in any way is bad. My sister kept dying her hair really blonde and then went nuts when it started falling out. I have to say I wasnt that surprised - but I'm not going to tell her what to do (she wouldn't listen anyway!) Chemicals in shampoos can build up and damage the hair, so its always best to use products with natural ingredients. Conventional shampoos are the worst culprits. The chemicals can 'obstruct hair restoration'. Organic shampoos actually offer nourishment, so that's why I choose them now. I'm using the Australian Organics brand, and I really like it.

I don't actually use that brand of shampoo, just try to use natural products live coconut oil or aloe vera instead.
